Andy Burnham announces end of triple-lock on the state pension from 2030. It will be replaced by double-lock, slower growth in state pension. Full state pension is already less than 50%of the minimum wage. Poverty awaits future retirees. £500bn of taxes not collected by HMRC since 2010.

Conival and Ben More Assynt yesterday. Weather worse than forecast, it rained for the most of the day. Huge relief when it cleared up for the last hour. I got some lovely views back to the hills and it allowed my clothes to at least start to dry out before I got back to the car.

The afternoon turned out nice, so a walk with my sisters dog. That boy loves a standing stone. 🤣 It was so quick and easy to get here by public transport, I think I’ll come back on the next nice day to climb GoatFell. Can’t wait to see that trig point! #Scotland

Been on Skye for a few days. It could not have rained harder. Did I see the sights? No. The cloud level was about 3m about sea level the whole time. Still, ate great food, walked my sisters dog and swam in the sea. No complaints. I love you Scotland! #Scotland

Yeah, it’s wasn’t too bad on the way up. The descent was more challenging, the path very boggy and eroded in places. I wonder if it might have been easier to go back over Ben More and take the main path back down. Next time maybe 😃

First Munro in 3 months, I’ve been recovering from a back injury. Sgòr Gaoith was the perfect walk for me, I absolutely LOVED it. A joy. No views, I’ll go back and enjoy this walk again. Rain jacket, puffer jacket, gloves and some cool sunglasses 😎🤣 #Munro #SlowMunro #Scotland #HillWalking

It’s been a very slow recovery from this back injury. It’s largely kept me at home, away from the hills. Slowly getting better though, so took a wee test stroll up Conic Hill. Always a treat! #Scotland #HillWalking

Took my sister’s dog for a walk this morning on the Hebridean Way between Seilebost and Tarbert. Making the most of the sunshine before Storm Dave arrives. Even though he woke up full of beans at 7am he’s too lazy for the whole section 🤣 #Scotland
