Man City’s charges really brings back how devastating it was to come so close to winning the league and then just miss out! Spurs may very well get their first goal tonight(😅)… but actually I’m happy with that line up! One of the big question marks I had with Slot was how poor he had been with the young players. Iraola seems the polar opposite of that and is in his element! Looking forward to seeing Nyoni beside Macca!✊

Liverpool FC played their first ever game on 1 September 1892, beating Rotherham Town 7-1 in a friendly at Anfield. Tom Wyllie scored a hat-trick, a sign of things to come - Tom went on to score 15 goals in 25 official games that season, including another hat-trick against Newtown in the FA Cup.

On a positive note, Munoz and Koumas have looked bright! Any kind of energy is welcome! Midfield is a mess right now though… Szobo, Grav, Wirtz, Macca all individually excellent players (not today but generally speaking!😅), but it’ll be a task getting them to fit Iraola’s system

A new manager really shows up the players that aren’t Liverpool level and likely aren’t going to cut it. We were so spoilt by Trent and Robbo!😫. Kerkez and Frimpong are so far off that level. Do have hope for Kerkez but Frimpong is a really a squad player.
