Years ago I made a facebook group called ‘Isn’t it ace being Jack Hurley’ and invited all the other Jack Hurley’s I could find. Then one of the Jack Hurley’s complained about it to facebook and I got a two week ban. Never been so disappointed by a fellow Jack Hurleys.

I’ve been learning Mandarin coming up for a year now and: A) Pinyin is cool but I was a mug for thinking you can halfarse hanzi B) Seriously guys, ixnay on the shi. Shi this, shi that, everything is shi, except that all shi’s mean wildly different things, even if they have the same intonation.
