Prompt: What is the movie that came out before you were born that you’ve watched the most times? Answer: I haven’t really kept track super well, but it’s either going to be His Girl Friday (1940) or It Happened One Night (1934). Basically, I can never have enough screwballs.

Kathleen chose a more modest Halloween display this year 👻 (The lil’ ghosties and pumpkins are just too cute. Unfortunately, the cats agree and we’ll be chasing those things all over the apartment.)

Joining in on the 9 albums thing. There were so many ways to try to do this since I'm always looking for and am being influenced (to some degree) by new music, but I chose the traditional route of albums I played a whole lot before leaving South Porcupine in 2000.
Three-by-three grid of albums showing, from the top left to right and going down by row:

(1) Live Through This, by Hole,
(2) Tidal, by Fiona Apple,
(3) Butch, by The Geraldine Fibbers,
(4) Portishead, by Portishead,
(5) Tigermilk by Belle and Sebastian,
(6) Breath From Another by Esthero,
(7) The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails,
(8) Blue Lines by Massive Attack (mostly for Unfinished Sympathy, which still tears me up under many circumstances), and
(9) Come On Die Young, by Mogwai.

Two Days, Squared Away Last Sunday it was delicious new-to-us food and drink (🇹🇹 Doubles! 🇯🇲 Sorrel!) and on Monday, a test roll provided me with a little evidence that the Yashica 635 *might* have healed itself. Or it might not have been a problem to begin with. 🤷🏻‍♀️ #BelieveInFilm

Another sunny Saturday! Since it's only one sunny day before ☁️, we're not yet going to go with slide, but instead Ortho! Otherwise? 1. Vote in the upcoming municipal election; 2. Get a nice Fall beverage (and snack) at Arlington 5; 3. See what's on offer at today's Retro & Antique Market.

Having let it sit in a cabinet for four years, I’ve been wondering if my Yashica 635 is going to behave. The shutter at 100 seemed sluggish when I set it aside, but playing with it this morning, 100 *seems* fine (?) now. I think after work I will sacrifice a roll of Potsdam to find out for sure!

For my midweek roll, it was all about just using a camera, developing film, and sharing the results, whatever happens. That's how I try to combat the malaise I slip into here and there. I also wanted to see what would happen if I treated a roll of RPX 25 as Retro 80S. #BelieveInFilm
