Not sure if anyone on here has been keeping up with what’s going on in Alberta, Canada, but we officially no longer have universal healthcare 🤡 Our premiere is dismantling the province. She’s doing a smash-and-grab to enrich herself and her friends while the feds stand idly by.

AMENDMENT REGULATION
1 The Alberta Health Care insurance Regulation (AR 76/2006) is amended by this Regulation.
2 The following is added after section 2.1:
Preventative health testing services
2.2 Preventative health testing services are not insured health services for the purposes of the Act.
3 Section 12 is amended by adding the following after subsection (2):
(3) Notwithstanding subsection (2), all preventative health testing services provided in accordance with the Preventative Health Testing Services Benefits Regulation are extended health services.
4 Section 13 is amended by adding the following after subsection (6):
(7) Subsections (3) to (6) do not apply to preventative health testing services.
5 This Regulation comes into force on the coming into force of section 1(8) of the Health Statutes Amendment Act, 2026.

The cost for the MRI is $1200 but we would also need some money for gas since it’s out of province 💀 It’s really fucking stupid that a standard MRI cant detect at least one of the issues I am having, but I’d have to wait until 2028 anyway and I am in so much pain I don’t think I’d make it.
