Handsome young buck who appears to be locked down waiting for the does 50 yds away to come into estrus. He'll follow them until they are ready or some bigger guy chases him off or he smells another doe who is more receptive. TLDR: They're chasin' and I'm ready for one to be stupid next weekend

I just installed a native plant garden for a friend. I grew most of the plants myself and finally got time to get them in their yard. #KILLYOURLAWN One bit at a time
A small native plant garden in the corner of a fenced yard. The gardener has laid cardboard and coverd it with soil to smother the turf grass beneath. Prairie dock, swamp milkweed, blazing star and anise hyssop have been planted. They are not big but will fill in nicely as summer goes on.

Why is it I see all the turkeys when it is no longer season? Nice beard on the closest bird. I was impressed how unphased they were when I stopped my car to snap a photo.

Maple syrup time!
A milk jug hanging off a maple tree. The morning sun is shining and it is early spring. The red capped milk jug is maybe 1/8 filled with maple sap that appears to look like slightly viscous clear fluid. This is the precursor to maple syrup.

Behold, read the alt text for my explainer. #MidwestTourguide
A local weather channel broadcast explaining the difference between a tornado watch vs. warning using tacos as an example. One half of the screen has the word "Watch" over chopped and prepped taco ingredients like tomatoes, onions chilis etc. The other half of the screen has the word "Warning" above the image of a deliciously prepared ground beef taco in a crispy tortilla shell topped with cheese, onions and tomatoes. This taco is also known as "white people taco night style tacos".

One of my best friends is a gearhead with too many project cars. He is rarely wrong about these things. #prediction #trucks #auto
2026 prediction: the growing backlash against alpha bro trucks will lead to an increasing number of insecure men towing empty trailers they don't need so it looks like they're ready to do work. It's a natural progression, and also lends itself well to more snarky comments about length and width.

I spent most of today helping my friend scrape paint off her garage door. There are at least 3 layers of paint on this thing. We are maybe 30% done. Using paint stripper but still a long way to go. I think we left it this evening with mostly just the original layer of paint left to be stripped yet
A woman in a dark sweatshit and jeans with her back to the camera is shown scraping white paint off a wooden garage door. The photographer has also been scraping paint and is about to return to applying paint stripper. Status after a day of work. Wooden garage door with white paint partially stripped off. You can see the grey brown wood peeking through especially at the bottom of the garage door.

Real group chat from my phone last week gave some great inspiration from nature.
Text conversation. First person: The Japanese water beetle has a better than 90% survival rate when eaten by a frog. Rather than try to fight its way free, it marches through the digestive track and out the asshole. This usually takes about an hour, but has been observed to take less than 5 minutes. If you're going through hell...
Second Person: Please tell me you have sources for this
