Went for a run, did maintenance on my NAS, further plotting for my upcoming UK trip, a few hours at Sacred Rain, now a beer at Ounces taproom in West Seattle (a Snapshot Sunray IPA), before a @scarlettohairdye.bsky.social produced Halloween Burlesque show! Easily an 8/10 day! Cheers.

I love me a bar not afraid of a theme, and tonight the beverages were all Labyrinth based. I had a Very Nutritious Lunch, a Bog of Eternal Stench and She's in the Oubliette.

End of an era: I switched to a MacBook Pro at work, away from my long standing Chromebook. The saddest part remains all the nice stickers that I'm also parting with.

An HP Dragonfly Chromebook with several Go Gopher stickers, Apace Beam stickers, and Google cloud stickers.

The Chromebook as i abandon it to the corporate return gods.

Turns out the problem was a bit of painters tap that got stuck in there. Gingerly fished that out with needlenose pliers, and voila! Better flow! It's now among the best shower fixtures I've ever had.

Shower pressure issues solved, and I didn't even need to do any surgery! Before the flow was limp, and the pressure non existent. I worried this moght be the case with the 1.75gpm limit the shower has. But I didn't want to prematurely optimize this until i experienced the shower. It was bad.

I now have a tub that I can soak in, a fancy toilet I'd probably never upgrade to without a good reason to replace the old one, and a large spare cans of my wall and trim paints, that will be getting serious use this week as i do all the paint touch up projects around the house. So time to beer!

All this is definitely not going to be "worth it" (because I didn't choose to have to go through this mess at all, water damage did)... But soaking in that tub in a few weeks will not suck.

The new, deeper tub, that, wasn't part of the problem, but if my whole bathroom has to be torn up, I'm going to make it not suck.

15 1/4 inch soak depth. The outside comes to my knee. It's glorious.
