a very weird and disturbing online trend i've noticed in fandom stuff is the willingness to dismiss genuine nazi shit as "4chan stuff." you'll see swastikas and incel rhetoric get passed under those smokescreen definitions in standard conversations. it's normalized now, it's simply internet culture
