Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 13/09/2026P.S. We may love the new look or hate it, but I hope we can all at least agree that the abysmal horizontal item bar needs to be finally put to rest. 010
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Anyway, I've already made peace with it. The remake will introduce the classic formula to the modern Zelda fans and bring new people into the fandom. I'm just sad it's not as good as it could have been. 110
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I do like many things about the new look, and what disappoints me most is that the inconsistency was so avoidable. I *want* to like it, I'm really trying to see the "fairy tale come to life" people talk about, but all I can see are lifeless doll heads on hyperrealistic, overdesigned bodies. Alas. 110
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 13/09/2026No wonder there's so many "Nintendo hired this man" comments. Honestly? I wouldn't be surprised if they actually saw those fan remake videos and that was their actual starting point for discussing the remake's art direction. 110
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 13/09/2026It can't decide between puppet theater and next-gen realism. The main characters are too realistic for puppets yet too puppet-like to feel alive. Most NPCs look like they belong in a stylized cartoon. And a porcelain cherub bombing giant realistic Dodongos just breaks my suspension of disbelief. 110
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 13/09/2026About the OoT remake... well. I guess I'm one of those people who can only complain? I do see what they were aiming for. I LOVE the idea of a puppet theater-looking game and I think it fits Zelda very well. But based on what we've seen *so far*, I don't feel like the remake really pulls it off. 110

Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 23/07/2026libretranslate.com maybe? Afaik they use more traditional machine translation (Argos Translate). But I haven't used it much honestly. 020

Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 20/04/2026The fan translation I played with made Epona say something like "I will always understand you, whatever shape you take" and it was so touching I didn't even realize a horse would naturally be nervous about the wolf form XD 030
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 20/04/2026Maybe they did vary! Even AMH populations differ on this, so that's reasonable. Honestly, though, I think both articles oversimplify things. Neanderthals had long childhoods like AMHs, but their exact growth patterns might differ from modern people. 110
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 01/03/2026I'm planning to clean up and upload two more little books illustrated by Repkin quite soon. 120
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 01/03/2026Here are some pages from a little book illustrated by Pyotr Repkin, an art director for a number of Soviet cartoons (including Mowgli, the Soviet adaptation of The Jungle Book). You can really tell the drawings were made by an animator. The full book (very short): archive.org/details/syn_... 130
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 01/03/2026A while back, I scanned some Soviet children's books and uploaded them to Internet Archive (link: archive.org/details/@olg...) and I want to get back to it. The art in them is great and deserves to be shared. 120
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 01/03/2026He probably had to grow up fast even by their standards. Also, he looks like the kind of guy you'd want to swap bad-life-choice stories with over a cup of whatever passes for coffee in Neanderthal times. 110
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 01/03/2026Спасибо! Хочется верить, что стиль ещё ищется - тянет к традишке, но на компе быстрее, а жизнь коротка. Хотя результатом довольна) 010

Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 24/02/2026As the internet becomes increasingly unpleasant and overwhelming, I think people are starting to use real life to escape from it instead of the other way around. At least that's true for me. I mostly check my DMs and the people I follow from time to time and that's it 010
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 21/02/2026Thanks! Aquamentus might not be the toughest boss, but it’s the first one, so this is probably what the battle would’ve felt like for Link (and the player). 010
Reposted by Dweller of the VoidYasmeen ✨ ياسمين @yamisha.bsky.social · 20/02/2026A very happy 40th anniversary to my favourite video game series, The Legend of Zelda! February 21st, 1986 was the release date of the first game in the series. I decided to make a piece directly celebrating this first instalment. #loz #zelda40th #legendofzelda 618189
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 21/02/2026I was actually going to draw Link having a midlife crisis for his 40th anniversary, but I've been too busy having one myself. 160

Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 18/01/2026The whole work is pure audiovisual poetry, highly recommend finding and watching the full version (it's only 17 min long) 020
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 06/01/2026I tested smarter models on a niche anthropology topic and they dug up two real books even I didn't know existed (later found them on Libgen). So I believe the tech itself does have potential but the models used for general "research" are worse than nothing and it's infuriating in so many ways 110
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Early video game publications are among their weakest spots for some reason. I have a whole list of "early Zelda artists" they just fabricated out of nowhere lol 210
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 06/01/2026У них вообще огромные проблемы с любой информацией, которая не доступна на инглише или других западноевропейских языках. Даже у российских нейронок. Слишком большой перекос в training data. 120
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Not an AI hater but this feature is such useless garbage. This is their dumbest model and it's called "Dive Deeper"🤦♀️ 100
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 24/12/2025Sounds like a perfect gift for trolls. Maybe there's a chance they'll let people turn it off if there's enough backlash, they reacted pretty quickly with that downvote feature and the one that revealed the account's origins 010
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 24/12/2025Zelda fans are more intense about what's "real" than philosophers lol. 030
Dweller of the Void @lost-and-not-found.bsky.social · 22/12/2025He said back in 2019 that the BotW sequel would be inspired by RDR2 but as someone who's played both, I can't name anything in common between RDR2 and TotK besides them both being open-worlds. So... maybe there's some hope 🥲 I don't think they have a solid vision yet 030
