Not really. Bottas had a 100% rate of getting into Q3 with Mercedes. Bottas had many wins, poles and was a competitive and competent driver. Battles with more than 1 team is definitely better, but Bottas cannot be compared to Perez.

You’re welcome! 🤍 I was perusing through the F1TV app, watching some classics. I suddenly felt like rewatching Bahrain ‘14 and decided to post a thread here. You’re right; Nico’s car was definitely in a better position and he even admits Lewis was impressive that day.

Nothing will beat these two battling for a title. They put a bum with Max so he can stat pad. Sure, the Mercedes was insanely dominant, but F1 was far from boring.

🧵: One of the greatest races I’ve ever seen in the modern era - Bahrain 2014. Mercedes and their drivers were so rapid, that they left the field behind, only to fight each other and produce some quality hard and fair wheel-to-wheel racing. This was quality Formula 1.
