A friendly reminder to the #Zelda community: the updated Timeline website, which apparently "confirmed" things, contains factual inaccuracies. For example: It states Link awakens Princess Zelda by wishing upon a Triforce before he even had obtained the Triforce of Courage.

Following the Imprisoning War, efforts were made to erase the Demon King from record. This was done foremost in order to prevent a panic over his inevitable return. So, both the Demon King and the true history of the Zonai were buried deep underground…. #TheLegendOfZelda #TearsOfTheKingdom

The surface world was settled at the end of #TheLegendOfZelda #SkywardSword. This not only set the stage for the future founding of Hyrule Kingdom, but it also sowed the seeds for the birth of the Hylian people.

Is it coincidence that Hyrule's history is one of repeated Ganon events? That each time he's appeared, a hero wielding the Master Sword and a sacred princess have worked together to seal him away? That names like Ruto and Nabooru have been passed down? 'Cause that's what a refounding would mean.

The "神話の時代" in #BreathOfTheWild Master Works—which references events from #OcarinaOfTime and the cycle of Ganon—appears to align with events from "1万年以上前" outlined in #TearsOfTheKingdom Master Works. Which places Hyrule’s founding before #OoT, just as canon intended.

It’s 8:25a on Sunday morning. We are less than a week after the Ocarina of Time remake trailer dropped and I see other YouTube theorists are already trying to manufacture consensus that the remake isn’t canon.

I wanted to give her the image of the progenitor of all Zeldas, so I scattered motifs of Princess Zelda from past "The Legend of Zelda" series throughout her entire body. Did you notice?

While I am already on it, here is another thing to just think about…

[…]

In truth, the Kokiri are also Hylians. THEY TRACE THEIR ROOTS BACK TO A TIME WHEN THE HYLIANS WERE FIRST DEVELOPING THEIR CIVILIZATION, building cities and relying on a less natural way of life. The Kokiri decided to distance themselves from the Hylians, exiling themselves to the forest to make their own way of life closer to nature.

In this Hyrule Warriors game, you will see how the people contended with the threat of the original Ganondorf.

Those arguing Nintendo confirmed a refounding based on “two mentions of the founding” overlook that we actually have three. Furthermore, Rauru’s Kingdom is described identically to the original founding even though the website also states “The founding of the new Hyrule Kingdom” in another instance.

They’ve compartmentalised every verifiable fact about the Wild Era’s history from the rest because we don’t know the Wild Era‘s timeline placement. So, in short, it’s the Sidney Timeline all over again with nothing actually having changed, but people thinking it is a huge new revelation.
