That’s very kind of you to offer. Right now, no, I don’t think so. I’ll see if I can fix or bypass the problem, which would leave me with a slightly less functional but still usable keyboard. If it comes to it I might have to do commission drive / fundraiser, but I don’t want to use gofundme.

My MIDI Keyboard might be broken. The centrepiece, the very core of my music workflow. I can't do much without it. It would be over £600 to replace, and all my savings are tied up. I'm so upset

I’ve been feeling so incredibly forlorn about the environment, and I had to get those feelings out by writing perhaps my saddest lyrics ever.

Disclaimer - I’m sure this is an excellent accessibility option, and for that reason I’m glad it’s there. What pisses me off is YouTube switching it on without any notice, causing me to pour through my audio settings trying to figure out what changed. How hard is it to just make things opt in?

Holy crap this is why my trailers have been sounding dogshit on youtube recently - they added "voice boost" and turned it on without me ever asking. I legit thought "man, the mix here is awful, the voices are way too loud". I promise, audio engineers know what they're doing, turn this shit off.

God, learning how microchips / CPUs / GPUs are made really makes me realise how much we take technology for granted. We break up and purify rocks, shine a light on them to etch microscopic patterns we then fill with metal, and then make them work miracles. It really is indistinguishable from magic
