He was born 92 years ago today. He's the architect of the Black Arts Movement, poet, scholar, radical, playwright, essayist, and survivor of the 1967 Newark Rebellion. Born Leroi Jones, he changed his name to Amiri Baraka after Malcolm was assassinated. He's also the father of Ras Baraka

What my understanding of men is. Especially hetero men. The more manhood/masculinity you seek. The more you are to become of service. To semi or damn near full blown worship a man or entity. Because it's power that they're truly looking at. Stuck in great awe and wonder of it.
