THIS IS NOT NOT A DRILL is perhaps more educational than theatrical, but enlightening and trying something really unusual in mixing site-specific performance, activism, and inspiration. Go in daylight if you can; most of it is an outdoor walking tour and you get more ambience if you can see it!

I belatedly realize that BENEVOLENT is another ensemble play about young women: INDIAN PRINCESSES, CAMPING, GIRL INTERRUPTED, DAD DON'T READ THIS, GIRLS: CHANCE: MUSIC. All focused on the inner lives of and the social constraints surrounding girls and women--shouldn't be refreshing in 2026, but is.

BIG: this morning, Mayor Mamdani and Under the Radar announced a new initiative to give out 1,500 free festival tickets! To have someone at City Hall who supports not just theater but non-commercial, often experimental performance blows my mind.

Travesties is my personal favorite Stoppard, not least because I like to imagine his sheer joy at discovering the historical convergence of Joyce, Tzara, Lenin, Oscar Wilde, and a minor lawsuit over trousers. A true giant.
