Since the End Game of Crimson Desert is just a visual feast without much else to do, I'm swapping out Wednesdays with more Minecraft Hardcore since I'm enjoying it tremendously and want to make more progress with it. Also, I'm now a Twitch affiliate! www.twitch.tv/lordneptunerb

What a fun birthday present for me today! With last night's stream, I hit Twitch Affiliate! I've been putting in a lot of work to continuously improve my quality and provide a safe space for folks to enjoy time with me while I play some games, so cool to see it pay off! www.twitch.tv/lordneptunerb

I have to say, the first three stats are super easy to achieve for Affiliate on Twitch. I get an ok amount of traction on TikTok, at least, but it would be nice to gather a bigger crowd on Twitch. I had a good experience last night with Hardcore Minecraft for the first time, though! So, fingers 🤞.

Path to Affiliate on Twitch. Showing 3/4 steps completed. The only step missing is average concurrent viewers still at 0/4 days in the last 30 days.

This weekend's project is replacing the front step on our back patio. The wood rotted through and broke through over the winter. We have some new, treated wood and deck screws, so as long as I measure correctly, it shouldn't be too bad, right?

Did some gardening today, too! We have some cherry tomatoes and peppers in this one. We'll be planting three more tomato plants, but not until Wednesday. We have some flowers to toss into the ground in various spots, too. Ashley should be tackling that this week. It's been a productive day!

10 years ago today, my lovely wife and I got married at a beautiful bed and breakfast. It was such a fun wedding, though it was VERY cold and windy that day! I really enjoyed dueling with lightsabers to Duel of the Fates during the grand march. 🥰

New Twitch Schedule just dropped! The main change is on Sunday, I pushed the stream back one hour to better account for my availability. Moving it lets me have lunch with the family before the stream, and less chance for breaks needed.

My old setup is back in business, and my cable management game has never been better! I was able to use this opportunity to remove a couple unused cables that were just floating around, and then I put all other cables behind the case cavity where they belong. And, now my old setup is working again!

The interior of my computer, the cables having been managed in a way where they are no longer criss-crossing over the motherboard, and instead are flowing from behind the case in the cable management cavity that is built into the case itself.

It's hope and pray time over here! I had no idea this procedure was possible, but it makes a ton of sense. If this bios flash works, I'll be immensely happy. 🤞

Ok, so I have good news and not good news. Lol. I got it turned on and logged in! However, the video card is not being recognized as an AMD RX570 card, and I cannot install drivers since it's being recognized as a generic video card. I also had struggled with bitlocker, so I turned that off.

Turns out, airflow matters! I apparently installed every single of my new fans in the wrong direction, including the heatsink. To be fair, none of them came with good instructions on what direction to install the fans, so I did it in a way that made sense from a cable management standpoint. 🙃

The insides of my old PC case, now with fans in proper positions. Airflow coming in from the righthand side white fan, pushing over the video cards, and then the PSU Heatsink fan pulling air from the right and pushing it out to the left, while the leftmost 80mm fan exhausts the heat out the back of the case.

This post brought to you by my new feature in my SocialBridge app! Alt text in the picture for more details. I'm having a lot of fun with this. 😊

A screenshot of the social bridge app with a preview of the attached video in the quoted post. It also shows what audio file was used, a PNG still of the scene, alt text for the video, download buttons for both the video and PNG, sending it to the Compose tab so we can post it easily from the app, the actual schedule obtained from Twitch, and then some cool visual options that I'm still working on.

The schedule for the next week now has a nice animation with randomized music inserts! Up tonight at 9:30 PM Central US, we have #CrimsonDesert streaming on Twitch and TikTok at LordNeptuneRB in both places. Tomorrow we get back to #Hytale to check out the latest updates! twitch.tv/lordneptunerb

I'm excited to start playing Crimson Desert tomorrow for the first time, live on stream! I'll be on both Twitch and TikTok Live, so follow me at LordNeptuneRB on either of those services, but the best viewing experience will likely be Twitch: twitch.tv/lordneptunerb #CrimsonDesert #Twitch

It's just a shell for now, but the functionality hooks into my already existing background process so it has some data to work with. But, I'm excited to see it starting to come to fruition! Some more details in the ALT Text on the images, too. This is so cool!

I'm also working on a way to drag in a vertical video and then draw a couple of bounding boxes on there, so when the app tries to insert box art (or podcast art) and information text into a video, it will know where to put them in the video. This way you create a template video, figure out where text and art will go on it, and then the video itself gets blended with the image, the dynamic text and audio in order to auto-post to social media sites.

So, my hyperfixation over the last couple weeks has been this social media bridge app for my streaming and podcasting marketing. Over the last few days, I've been spending most of my free time getting a UI implemented for it, using various Python packages and interfaces into HTML/CSS display/etc.

The Dashboard of my SocialBridge User Interface. It shows the next upcoming stream and how long it is before it is supposed to start.

The Features Flag page in my UI that hooks into my Features.JSON file to enable or disable specific features as I work on them or need them.

The podcast page is pretty great, too. It shows the information I need for each of the podcasts that I'm going to monitor (currently Panda's Talking Games to test and Character Creation Cast, of course)

I also have been keeping track of my stream history locally over the last two streams through the bot. Now I can have stream stats right from the app!

All in the name of automating my social media posts for when I go live on Twitch. I've also gotten pretty good at setting up an overlay for my stream. Here's a sneak peek at the latest iteration:

Ryan Boelter @lordneptune.com · 03/03/2026

I will be streaming Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and I should have automated reminders sent out to BlueSky as well as the @creationcast.net discord server along with server events if you want reminders. 😊 I'd love to see more folks there for my cozy gaming streams!

I think my Social Bridge program has evolved. 👀 I've gone ahead and split up the huge single script file into a more object oriented mutli-file format. Added a readme to make it easy to set up by someone else, helper files, started adding test sets. Maybe a UI soon?

Today was a relatively typical day, albeit a more carb heavy day. I've been focusing mostly on protein and fiber, which has cut a lot of fats out of my diet and kept my carbs close to my protein intake. This keeps me full longer and I'm a calorie deficit.
