I’m not gonna count my chickens yet but if things play out like they’re looking they will, I think we may have to conclude that the analysts were right all along and voters primarily care about the economy (which is why I was surprised this admin tanked it immediately instead of waiting 2 years)

Nothing’s gonna beat Game of Thrones in this vote. I kinda knew Lost was gonna be disappointing because there’s no way you can logically explain a polar bear on a tropical island other than “magic”

Weird but this is one of the timelines where elderly Axl Rose has better politics than elderly Tom Morello

Tom Morello is a 50-something year old man & he’s had two full years to reflect on this mistake (during which very tangible evidence of that mistake including internment camps, the murder of protesting US citizens, & global death after the defunding of US AID has occurred). And he’s learned nothing

Btw, the whole reason this concert (which was totally well intended and could have generated way more funding) won’t get publicity is bc of this jagoff feeling the need to say this. Thanks for nothing bro

Have a plan in place. Vote early. Request a ballot, fill it out. Bring it to the ballot box closest to you. Do not take any chances. This is too important to sit out. Democracy requires all eligible citizens to participate. It's not a spectators sport. 🌊💙🩵🩵💙🩵💙🩵🩵🩵🌊🌊🌊🫶🫶 go.bsky.app/Q169B77

Waited until the Power to the People concert was over (bc unlike this dumbass I’m not trying to tank publicity for the causes he claims to believe in DURING PRESS for that event) but…what an idiot Zack de la Rocha would have never, which is why — nevermind.

😅😅😅 to be fair Idris would have been a lot better. But he is too good for those terrible movies

010

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Also they’ve already changed some things like, Ilya in the books is supposed to be kinda rugged looking (bc his nose has been broken a few times) and 6’4” and have a giant bear tattoo 😅 sometimes it’s more important that an actor embody the personality than the exact look of the character

110

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

…isn’t always accurate. Harris is a little insecure about it bc he’s around these ripped hockey players all day long but you cut to his love interest’s POV and all he’s thinking is “omg Harris is soooo hot”. Basically all the characters in this show just need to be super hot in different ways lol

110

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I’ve come around to it bc I like Justice! It’s nice to have different body types but it’s not really essential to his character. Also this fandom often overlooks the fact that it’s common in romance novels for characters to put their own looks down & their view of themselves & their bodies…

110

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

…a bigger guy in terms of weight bc he is described as thick in the books, but him being Black is a positive change that will actually give his story extra layers)

110

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

For the most part yeah. JJ, Carter & Bood (new character in season 2) and Shane of course are all POCs. The only character they’ve changed from being white in the books is Harris & unfortunately the fandom reaction was not as positive as I would have hoped (I get that they wanted him to be…

110

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

And the way the Off Campus book fandom was only critical of the casting for the one character they changed from white to Latino for the show reinforces my belief on that :-/

Tbh this is 100% the correct way to play Traitors 😅 I love him

040

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Tbh sadly I now that I think more about it I suspect some straight romance readers like the hockey genre bc it’s a very white sport and they want their leads to be WASP bros. Heated Rivalry is the only hockey book series I know of that makes a point of featuring players of color

110

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

But honestly no one is watching these shows for the sports of it all anyway. I still couldn’t tell you anything about hockey beyond “they shoot puck into net to make goal” 😅 I would 1000% watch a queer swimming romance though

110

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

…if it was like baseball or something where they’re playing each other for three days in a row, or a sport with a shorter season where there’s no excuse not to go visit each other in the off months they could not possibly manage to avoid the “what are we?” conversation for that long 😅

110

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

The one thing I do understand about it for HR is that hockey has a really long schedule & they’re never in one city for long. They really only see each other like 5 or 6 times a year & having enough time to spend the night is rare. That is the only way an 8-year situationship is plausible imo…

Between this and RED WHITE & ROYAL BLUE and HEARTSTOPPER being hits you’d think streamers would conclude “people like queer romance novel adaptations, maybe we should find more queer romances to adapt” but no

010

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I really don’t get the straight hockey romance appeal. If you remove the “rivalry bc they are both players” forbidden love factor this is a sport where the players are wearing so much gear you can’t see what their bodies look like & they’re getting teeth knocked out all the time. It’s not very sexy

210

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Not that the smut is the most important part but this is literally queerbaiting 😅😬

110

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

What I can say is Cornell will settle with Jane Doe. Swiftly, if they can. They will have to. A few administrative heads will roll. If they are smart they’ll ban this frat permanently. They will levy fines on the others. They’ll hope the mainstream media forgets. But I won’t & others won’t either.

010

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

The more disturbing aspect of this to me is that the Tompkins County district attorney’s office initially declined to prosecute & the Ithaca police were not brought in to investigate beyond the campus police (who are a joke) doing a nonsense look & see. Ithaca is a “woke” town & that is unusual.

100

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

This also brings up the question of why the national Chi Phi organization has not banned the Cornell chapter (which they’ve done for far less before) but like I’m saying…I smell big money behind this all…and someone might want to look into it

100

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Not that that makes them any more or less culpable but it is the reason this was swept under the rug by Cornell. It is also the reason the Ithaca civil authorities were all “see no, hear no evil” until just now I guarantee it

100

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I find it hard to believe that Cornell orchestrated this coverup on behalf of a Greek org. What Cornell DOES care about — to the exclusion of anything else — is its endowment. We need to be looking into which of the Cornell rapists were legacy admissions or whose parents gave large donations.

100

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

What I can say about “Cornell culture” is this: Unless things have changed a *lot* since I was there, Cornell does not actually care all this much about its frats. It is willing to suspend them for simple things like trashing their houses (which are beautiful mansions overlooking a lake valley)…

100

Looking for Something @looking4evah.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Which doesn’t mean they could have weeded out the bad seeds, I’m just describing who often ends up there. Cornell is a top school if you are studying astrophysics, environmental science, law (ironically). In some other departments it means you’re a rich asshole who bought your way in. Anyway.
