This is interesting and I am not remotely surprised but nevertheless delighted that it more-or-less tallies with what I thought was going on. But a couple of extra thoughts... www.theguardian.com/media/2026/o...

Random career tidbits: I have two out-of-print published games (won't say which) that went from initial concept meeting to "files to the printer" in less than a week. Quarriors was turned down by 5 publishers before Wizkids took it. I've still designed more TCG content than any other type of game

Mine was an amazing house show and Takeover Phoenix.

God, it was a golden age. I saw classic NXT live twice (plus the first Worlds Collide) and it was always incredible.

My first thought is that I'll post whatever interesting behind the scenes observations I can muster for whatever book I lettered that's out every Wednesday. But I mean, fuck it, I have the time, maybe I draw my own damn comics again too.

I'm playing board games today because it's too early to have a total nervous breakdown, but I am creating plans within plans. But FWIW, already planning to bring back the Patreon. I initially took it down because it felt ridiculous while I had an extremely steady and well-paying job.

Thank you! I put a lot of thought into it, and confirmed with The Man Who Created Klingon that using sentence case (upper and lowercase letters) was actually imperative for understanding the language.

So I don't have money or a fancy car, and I'm tired of wishing on a falling star. I've gotta put my faith in a loud guitar. Allow me to reintroduce myself: I'm Jodie, I letter comic books.

Okay. So here's what I know - I lost my day job. - I hated my day job. - I liked having a lot of money and health insurance. - But a lot of money never made me happier, I just owned more stuff. - I do still need health insurance. - I'm really fucking good at lettering comic books.

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

It’s October, which means the countdown is ON until Scream! is out into the world!! I am ridiculously proud of this special and of the incredible creators who brought their A-game to the table for this round of scares. Can’t wait? You get a MASSIVE ROUNDTABLE INTERVIEW courtesy of @aiptcomics.com! 👻

Also, they keep making up new networks. Like, what the fuck is StartTV? Doesn't matter, Murder She Wrote is on.

The best thing about modern over-the-air television is that Murder She Wrote is almost always on, regardless of the channel.
