just switched my desktop manager in cachyos to niri, and it's soooo much better. now just need to tweak proton so diablo 2 and skyrim run a little better 🤓

picked up a refurbed thinkpad the other day. wiped it, and then put cachyos. this thing runs pretty well. steam can run diablo II and it was a little choppy at first, but then swapped out some proton stuff and I think it's good now.

the difference between the internet 20 years ago, and the internet now is that origami boulder (www.origamiboulder.com) is clearly satire, whereas now there is almost certainly some schlepp selling one for real.

Dark Matters of the heart Just finished reading the book Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. I liked this book a lot. Someone described it as a popcorn action thriller that’s a love story, and wrapped in science fiction. longlostforgotten.com/posts/dark-ma…

Finished Upgrade by Blake Crouch. Good read & fast paced. 4 out of 5 stars. My only critique is that there's some moments where it gets into the weeds a bit about genes and gene editing, which lost me. But overall, I liked it. www.goodreads.com/book/show/59...

Recently switched from Plex to Jellyfin to cut down on subscriptions, and so far, it's been pretty good. I mostly use it for my music library and while it doesn't have a built-in way to listen remotely, a simple tunnel connection to my server and I was up in no time. Definitely worth a try imo.
