Just grabbed the new Alderland expansion for Forbidden Lands and had a flick through. Damn, for 250-odd pages, it's *lean*. Aside from a bit of introductory prose, and some background plot threads, EVERYTHING is sandbox. This is good, I like this a lot.

Gloam is a fantasy tarot adventure game inspired by fairy tales and folklore. It has an elegant lifepath system, rules for alchemy and folk magick, gritty combat, and a full bestiary and 50+ magick artifacts. Try it out, I think you'll enjoy it. It's different from a lot of other games out there!
