True story: it was cold on that fateful day. Mum and Dad were driving up Cricklewood Lane where they planned to pick me up from school. I was 12. I normally walked home by myself, so it was quite unusual that they would pick me up. I don’t remember what the occasion was, what I DO know (1/2)

Me and George gave a #folklore talk about Fairies in Waterstones Gower Street (Bloomsbury #London ) last night. Actually George gave the talk and I just told a couple of stories. Next month the talk is about Baba Yaga the Witch.

in the year 2000 I went to Cornwall, hoping to see the #eclipse unfortunately I had to go home early. So I was on the train, looking across at the coast about a mile away. At the moment of totality everyone’s cameras started flashing. HUNDREDS of cameras going off together along the coast.
