I have been going to the same pool/gym for over 11 years. They are restructuring the membership levels from February. To keep the same access, my membership fee would go up by £95 per month. WTAF.

I found this photo of my Mum. Just this morning she was telling me about hitchhiking on her own between London and Newcastle to get to university in the early 1960s. I reckon this photo must be from around that time. She clearly survived but the very idea of it is horrifying.

It is so embarrassing driving around with a huge dent in 🤦‍♀️Also I wasn’t going to tell my parents, but the cat will be out of the bag when I visit them in the spring 😆

They did say they could take it in on the 3rd June. But they reckon it will take 2 weeks and I want to have my car when Flo is here. Just in case we need it for purposes!

I know you can’t rest up with your job, but I hope you can try and minimise exertions where possible. Fingers crossed the tea helps and you haven’t drunk it for nothing!

I put a massive dent in my car. (Low speed encounter with a concrete planter. I am fine.) I took it for inspection at the garage today and to book in the repair. The insurers mentioned there were delays on repairs just now. They weren’t kidding. My car has been booked in for 17TH JUNE.

The thing that flung me headfirst into a new obsession was “Tour de France: Unchained”. Difficult to elucidate reasons but the word suffering is used many times, there is crying, many riders are literally called servants. Plus loads of uplifting moments 😅
