Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 14/07/2026People would die. She’s a paediatric diabetes specialist nurse who can prescribe drugs. It won’t go well. I think she could do my job without anyone dying and could probably get away with it for at least a year, if not forever. 010
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Just one week left for me. Ran a 10k race today in this heat and am not ok. 100
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Yes they were. They definitely were. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I’m still in my 20s. 030
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 12/07/2026It is focused on all the stuff we’ve done/been doing CPD on. I need to think of a clever way to encourage it to be used more as I think it would help- introducing deliberate practice that includes some of the stuff this year so that might help 010
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 12/07/2026It’s supposed to be used during QA but I need to make sure it’s used more for that at all levels. 110
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 12/07/2026I’ve written a sort of teaching and learning guide thing for work. This is version 2. First one last year. How do I encourage people to use it more or at all? 200
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Ran a 10k race in the heat today and feel like I’m going to be sick. Why did I go through with it? 🤦♀️🤢 010
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Is there one person who writes all the jokes in the CGP revision guides and if so, how can I get this job as their ‘dad-joke master’ 110
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 14/02/2026I knew there was a reason I came back on here. Barkley Marathons is happening! 020
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 14/02/2026Back on here for the want of somewhere to scroll and learn without horrendous trolling. It’s half term 👏 000
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 14/02/2026Working in a school with similar figures to this. Improving life chances is a huge motivator for me too. 010
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 30/10/2025Today I learned about another bit of consumer crap: the boo basket. A basket with gifts in, like a hamper, is great as a present but this is ridiculous. 000
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 28/10/2025What. Have. You. Done? You went there and not the hallowed halls of Gloucester services. This is an error you will regret for quite some time. I called there for a wee once. Have never got over it 110
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 28/10/2025It is but I am sure someone else told me a similar story about a woman being ever so slightly knocked and a man going OTT to comfort someone brushing against them. It’s so weird 000
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 28/10/2025he makes out like there is something on the arm of her coat and they both stare at me like I’m a witch. It was as though I assaulted her, yet my coat arm brushed her coat arm. That was it. I think it made him feel powerful. I could have knocked him down with a look haha 🤔🤔 100
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 28/10/2025Also, I am not sure how to describe this weird thing today but here goes: I accidentally brushed my arm against someone. Really light. Nothing at all. I said ‘oh sorry’. Her boyfriend then hugged her to him and rubbed her arm like she was in real pain whilst giving me an evil look. Next thing, 100
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 28/10/2025I’ve come to London to watch a play but turned it into a mini holiday. Anyway, I have tried the nicest vegan food and no fake meat in sight. I had a fake poached egg(!) but no fake meat. I feel very wholesome 030
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 28/08/2025This is terrible. Lots of these places really need adult education centres- a lot of people in highest deprivation will use these centres. My mum worked at Clay Cross for years- it’s the best thing about the place 022

Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 21/07/2025First day of holidays: drove back from parents’ Golden Wedding thingy, slept, Pilates and ate some cake. This is a good start! 010
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 18/07/2025Summer holidays are here. First year on SLT and I have learned that there is no such thing as winding down for summer in this job! I did have enough energy to come home and clean the bathroom though. 040
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 28/06/2025Doing my summertime job (only between June and July). You know the one: online reading and dragging and dropping comments, right? Oh my word it’s tiring. I’m doing less next year for sure. I was in the house all bloody day doing this 010
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 25/06/2025Last night I presented something at a meeting and it was the first time since starting on SLT in September that I felt like I belonged there. It takes ages to feel like that in a job, doesn’t it? Anyone else? How long did it take? 120
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 09/06/2025When you’re so tired you have a nap whilst having an MRI scan 🤦♀️🙋♀️ 020
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 02/06/2025It used to be for the posh stuff! I hope they still do the fake fish fingers! 010
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 01/06/2025I think you can only get the animal shape ones now like dinosaurs. I’m 46- I can’t buy those 😂 M&S do nice nuggets in the freezer section btw. 100
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 13/05/2025I’m going to be leading on homework from September. What have you done that has worked to have purposeful homework that has an impact and how have you built a homework culture? Any interesting ideas welcome 🙏 100
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 11/05/2025I want to hide from this. I do a bit of work, enough to pay tax on but not loads, alongside my regular PAYE work. If I have to spend time fiddling about with something new, I will probably give up the extra work tbh as it is a small amount 010
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 07/05/2025Here to say that it’s ok not to be able to do it/have it ‘all’. I worked then tutored tonight. I have not any chores and have just rested for two hours. Let the house be slightly untidy. We don’t have to be super. It’s alright just to exist and do what you can manage. 030
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 06/05/2025Came home early due to cancelled meeting with every intention to go to the gym. Massive headache and chills (freezing cold but head is hot) and have been in bed since 5.30pm. This is not the start to the week I was looking for! 000
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 22/04/2025I love the markings on her forehead. Tortoiseshells are the best cats! 080
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 22/04/2025I think I have the other half of your cat living with me and you have the other half of mine 😸 2240
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 21/04/2025I’m now imagining what would happen if Liz Truss and JD Vance met…🏴☠️💀 030
Reposted by LouiseMatthew Hodson @matthewhodson.bsky.social · 18/04/2025Section 28 didn’t come out of nowhere. It came from a society where 75% thought homosexuality was wrong. From a society that feared the sight of a man in drag would corrupt. From a society that believed ignorance was better for children than any knowledge of gay lives. 🧵 1/16 291474604
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 18/04/2025My cat is such a fussy eater. Only eats dry food (and chicken breast shredded- only fresh, never frozen). My nail lady also has fussy cats so passed on some food to me. Martha would not touch it. However, my leftover pasta has been gobbled up!If I actually gave her pasta, she wouldn’t touch it🤷♀️ 020
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 18/04/2025Also, I had most of the two weeks work-free. I don’t think anyone should have to work in the holidays but the reality is that we often do. At least this way I’ve been able to have time to rest too. 010
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 18/04/2025During term time, I have to work under time pressure and by doing the same in the holidays, I have actually got loads done and had a rest. With less time pressure, a task can stretch all day. By relaxing and resting, my ideas are better and my work is better. 110
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 18/04/2025After over 20 years, I have finally cracked the working during school holidays! Basically, do no work in the daytime on any of the days. Start in the evening and do a couple of hours then rest. I’ve got loads done and haven’t spent the daytimes procrastinating as I know I’m working later on. 120
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 15/04/2025I’ve done something to my knee (on overuse thing from running is likely culprit) but I taped it up and went to the gym. Took it very easy and no burpees and nothing unpleasant happened. 🏆😌🥳 020
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 13/04/2025I’ve been saved today from running a 10K race because the football team I support won a match and will do the final on the same day as the race. Phew! 010
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 12/04/2025This is similar to what I have read but many AI focused teachers don’t seem to mention it/ know this. 110
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 09/04/2025It was lovely. I walked 4 miles each way so felt like I needed to do something worth the walk 100
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 09/04/2025Went rogue and escaped the all inclusive for a lunch in Rhodes. My friend at home messaged me to ask if I had been, just as I was 10 mins’ walk from this cafe. What a treat. 120
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 07/04/2025Rhodes. Ixia. I ran out into the actual resort town earlier. Very beginning of season as everything still closed. 100
Louise @loiskitt.bsky.social · 07/04/2025Understanding the all inclusive life now. I sat by the beach all day, reading, then did a 5K run to induce some level of hunger. Not sure I’ve fully blended in with the lifestyle though. Not sure how? 😂🤦♀️ 150
