Honestly there's nothing better than finding old blogspots by folks who went insane over researching a hobby and its historical practice. Just going to spend a day learning about tassle making. The sources they list are a gem, even if there is an unfortunate amount of dead links to musem exhibits.

I have been accumulating more hobbies, but the amount of books I am tempted to buy on historical embroidery is concerning. Its so easy to justify, those books would serve as art reference, historical fiction research while also allowing me to get patterns for embroidery projects. Dangerous

I think making a video game about my dog is the most self indulgent thing I have ever done, like its for me (and my wife only), no one else has reason to root for my dog, but i just love my dog, and I think the world would be cooler with more games made about people's pets

I wanted to update my profile description on here and the layout is so broken on my android tablet that the text input field doesnt adapt and hides most of it. But whats worse is that the button to actually save the updated info is nowhere to be found....

I had intended to finish the comic i was working on but time management is not an option in my skill tree. So instead, take these sketches of my dog sleeping. I like them.

Two pencil sketches of the goodest boy in the whole world, the poster's dog. The dog is a mixed smaller breed vaguely Jack russel terrier but much too long legs. In both sketches he is napping peacefully

Its not like its a secret, the concept "soft sciences" vs "hard sciences" itself has always been loaded with misogny but Wikipedia is not even being subtle here.

Not to be that guy and do everything is gender, but at this point is the difference between a book marketed as hard sci fi and just sci fi is that the former is written by a man, right? at least a lot of the times.

I remember being a little in awe the first time seeing Lake Biwa. We drove by it on a school trip and it just expanded towards the horizon. Its one of the places i really want to show my wife one day, for now Goodbye Lara will have to do. I am sure that show is going to create quite a bit of tourism

Goodbye Lara ist absolutely an instant classic. The vibrant colours are so stunning its ridiculous actually. The night sky blue in one of the last scenes in Episode 1 was so beautfiul. The background was so simple and yet i thought "I have new favourite shade of blue"

If there is one thing id like to teach people about dogs its that a wagging tail doesnt mean happiness. It seems to somehow even escape many other dog owners.
