Oh yeah I have seen it when I was in recruiter seat as well, it is very risky though! But I did miss job opportunities because I couldn't show the work that they wanted to see so I totally get it.

You can get sued for that since you are breaching the contract. It also shows that you don't respect NDAs to the new employer so you loose their trust from the begining.

I have worked on a dozen of game projects about five years ago and never received the greenlight to show any of it and they told me to stop asking for that. So yeah very standard stuff, I always thought that NDA should automatically be lift off once the game is at least released.

Got lost in it these past three days, I absolutely loved my time with it, I love how more focused around a main intrigue everything felt. I'm going to be honest, I prefer it over Disco Elisyum which I didn't expect. I love the style of the portraits and the UI/Props.
