Locomalito @locomalito.com · 18mOh, I need to add it to the surprisingly long list of Abbaye des Morts ports :] 000
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 24/09/2026They tend to filter the bad in and the good out, but they can't negate solid proof. People don't say good things lightly. It takes effort to show appreciation, so when it happens it's 100% real. Sometimes it's handy to have a record of nice things people said about you when you feel the imposter 010
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 23/09/2026Sad to hear you have one of those bully brains. Anyways, I learned about your work recently and yeah, it's pretty easy to see you're bringing so much good into the world. Even at first sight. 130
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 20/09/2026I wish the sega aes games were available for PC. I've been slowly moving away from consoles :( 010
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 19/09/2026I've been waiting for the right moment to play the first one since... Its release xD 110
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 19/09/2026As an adult who loves playing video games but has very little free time, I think more people should learn from the Psikyo approach to game design. They pack a ton of content and purpose per second. 0301
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 12/09/2026I’ve had an unexpectedly productive day today. I’ve managed to make a lot of progress on #Snailord 0220
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026It really was nice while it lasted. The community was wonderful. 010
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026I'll keep a copy of the previous version in my own site too. It will be just a little less visible (hidden under an "other versions" button, like some of the other titles) 140
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026You'll have more ways to be condemned in the upcoming version :} Thanks for playing btw! :_) 050
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026Awww. It's ultra-nice to hear that, because I'm totally enjoying your games right now :))))) 170
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026Also... The Curse of Issyos turned into Maldita Castilla, and later we did The Curse of Issyos too. I guess working on whatever feels like doing at any given moment comes with these unexpected twists :P 0180
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026Btw I forgot yesterday, but it was also the 13th anniversary of Verminian Trap, a party game designed for the now-defunct Ouya microconsole. I started working on an update for this game too, but it ended up becoming a different project (the snail dungeon game I've been posting about lately). 3415
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this game's journey ♥♥♥♥♥ 0240
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026The upcoming version features updated graphics, improvements to gameplay, enemy behavior and level design, as well as an alternate ending. All while keeping the spirit and simplicity of the original intact. Release date to be announced. 2425
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026When I say there are dozens of ports, I mean it literally. Just in physical format—and among those that have made their way into my hands—there are already these. 1283
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026We made our game and moved on to the next project. But somehow its simplicity, background and raw aesthetic (monophonic music and single-color sprites) resonated with the retro community. 16 years later, there are dozens of ports for classic systems created by different teams around the world ♥ 1150
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026After two years working on Hydorah, we decided to take a break to make a very small, ZX Spectrum-style game. The trip gave us the inspiration, as we learned about the history of the Cathars and the siege of Montségur. More info about that here -> forteressesroyalesdulanguedoc.fr/en/discover/... 1170
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 10/09/2026Today marks the 16th anniversary of L'Abbaye des Morts. And we're working on an update! It was a small side project that @gryzor87.bsky.social and I made in the afternoons during a week-long trip to France. We released it in the void, but somehow it became a classic within the homebrew scene. 418135
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 09/09/2026Gunmetal Gothic does the ratio thing well: The 4:3 option is 320x240 (76.800 pixels) And the 16:9 is 384x216 (82.944 pixels) So the two aspect ratios have a relatively similar area. In this case, since it's 3D, it doesn't affect the level design—only the view. 0141
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 08/09/2026Congrats for the release 🍀 I hope it gets at least the same amount of love you've put into it 171

Locomalito @locomalito.com · 02/09/2026I wasn’t aware of Zeliard, but you’re right: the colours and curved shapes look pretty similar. In my head it was like Gaplus, Cadash and something between a metal and a prog-rock band logo. 000

Asura is one of my recent favs, but I feel like I need to move constantly to read the action. Also, something similar happens with 3D R-Types. 010
Locomalito @locomalito.com · 28/08/2026I wish I could reverse the CAMERA on games like Space Harrier. I mean, so the camera stays over my head when I'm down in the ground in a way I can see what's ahead. 120
