Investigation will show that most attempts at election illegal voting are made by Republicans, often candidates for office.

My Mom’s cancer, when it reappeared after 6 years, spread to her bones. In the’80’s, treatment was a lot less targeted or successful than today. Her final months were agony, with constant pain and occasional broken bones. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, much less a decent person like President Biden

Ask that they test your dominant hand. I failed about half the time when the intake nurse tested my right hand. It’s a tremendous waste of time and energy to go to donate only to be turned away. After some research I’ve asked to be tested on my left hand and never been turned away since.

Unsightly and loud filters to prevent the algae bloom were removed prior to the illegal cage match weigh-in event at the Lincoln Memorial because (of course)they were ugly. And really loud. A day later, algae!

It’s used to slow lead from leaching out of old supply lines. Prior to the “renovation” water was pumped out of the Tidal Basin (untreated river water) for the Reflecting Pool. This struck President (and occasional Dept of Interior GS-11) Trump as not fitting for the purpose. Thus the city water.

It’s to protect the people who are doing the work. And it’s likely one of the reasons scaffolding is necessary is because the original work was done from the baskets of condor cranes and in less than half a day. Entire pieces of the marble will need replacing. Not possible to do safely from lifts.

Lots of conspiracy theories about the crew doing the job taking so long. Mandatory breaks to prevent heat injuries. Safety regulations require everyone come down when lightning strikes within a certain distance. The scaffolding is complicated to allow access to the Opera House loading doors.

Doing the original work from the buckets of condor cranes in a few hours is one of the reasons why scaffolding is required for repairs. You can’t just cut the letters off. Anchors must be removed and the damage to the marble fixed. I doubt any qualified mason would take the job without scaffolding.

My wife needs wide shoes and loves Altras. She does several walking events including a 50 k with all the associated training walks and says she couldn’t do them without the Altras. New Balance also has several models in wide. That’s what I wore recovering from a broken toe a couple of years ago.

Pelley’s annual compensation at CBS was ~$7M and he has a net worth of ~$15. Few print journalists (possibly none) are compensated at that scale. Having spent time with print reporters earlier in life, I don’t doubt that similar scenes played out at WaPo, just not reported upon. Most just left.

The pictured park, Meridian Hill Park - aka Malcom X Park, is a little over 100 years old and was recently renovated. Trump had nothing to do with it. It’s about 20 blocks north of the White House. Long a site for community gatherings. It’s a beautiful neoclassical park.

There are something like 230 ABC affiliates. That’s beside the point, as is the number of owned and operated affiliates. Kimmel was engaged in First Amendment protected speech. There are rules about licensee responsibility and what would lead to the suspension of a license. None were violated here.

Nope, the East Wing housed the First Lady’s offices, some smaller meeting spaces, the correspondence office (I think) and calligrapher’s office, the East Colonnade, the visitors’ entrance and the family theater. The emergency operations center was below ground.

Given the illustration accompanying this post, I see potential for a Spinal Tap-Stonehenge moment. The location is even less a laughing matter than the idea of the arch itself. A tall building a few yards from the narrowest point on the west flight path serving DCA. What could go possibly go wrong?

Less than a third of registered voters cast a ballot for the current president. More than a third couldn’t be bothered to vote. When a candidate loses an election by a similar margin to those who support Federal supervision of elections you would report they had been soundly defeated.

Poll workers already face long work days, what turns out to be a sub-minimum wage & threats from voters. I ended up calling in several voters who kept shoving their ID in my face (ID is only required for certain voters in my state per the poll book) and one who told me he knew where I lived.

A huge driver for not shooting on practical locations is turnaround time for cast members. Losing a couple of hours of shooting time to actors riding in vans to yet another location is often the deciding factor.
