Katy Cornell, candidate for LD-26 State Rep Position 2 in WA, is lying by omission yet again. This is Apostle Romeo Bamos in a campaign ad. Walk In the Light International built him a church to preach in where there are posters of Katy & Tom. He preached at SOZO Belfair this past Sunday.

Katy Cornell did an interview with a local independent reporter who actually asked a question about her role with SOZO and how that might impact how she'd vote in youth, gender, and school curriculum bills. Katy avoided the question that was asked, but for those paying attn the answer is obvious.

She said faith should not qualify or disqualify a candidate, and that she would not bring a pulpit into the job.

"I am not running to be anyone's pastor." She said a belief system does not have to be separated from the job, and that it also does not mean forcing it on anyone. She named freedom of belief, and the right of families to raise children as they choose. Being a pastor, she said, means people tell you what they do not tell everyone: sexual abuse, suicide, drugs, and the time it takes to recover. "Not from a Christian perspective, but from a human perspective." She then named sex offender laws she says the Legislature has been undoing. She did not have a bill number. She described online stings, the Net Nanny cases, lower consequences, and a shorter time on the registry. She thought the bill had passed. She was not sure. She said the early votes still concern her, because it can come L_back. She put the session at about 1,300 bills.

Why else do religious beliefs matter as an elected official? There's a rising tide of anti-Muslim sentiment and it's hard to believe that someone who deeply believes in advancing God's Kingdom would stand up against that hate in her party when you think & teach that Muslims practice "witchcraft."

I also believe in protecting children from abusive and dangerous homes. While Katy Cornell advocates for safer homes by protecting kids from parents who abuse drugs, she's also part of a faith healing community that doesn't believe in taking your kids to the hospital and instead praying for healing.

I am aware that there are preschools that meet in churches. The difference here is that usually the preschool is entirely separate from the church location - the space is rented by the preschool OR the preschool is explicit that it's related to the church.

I have some real problems with Katy Cornell's religious nonprofit because while she sells it as bringing clean water, education, and healthcare to people in Burkina Faso, it also includes a heavy dose of this kind of shit. I'm not saying it's the same, but she says you should be zealous.

Here's a post from the Dead Rising Team's FB page dated June 2019 that tells a different story about that 22nd person. There are quite a few inconsistencies in the story. Where's the honesty, man?

Margie, one of our leads from our Houston Dead Raising Team received a phone call last night. Her friend's father had died. Faith sees tragedies as opportunities for God to move, so Margie began praying and declaring LIFE!

Not only did the father come back to life, but the EMT that was there said, "It was only by prayer that he could have come back from that."

That is 22 people raised!

Our Houston team went through the same training that all of or Dead Raising Teams go through. It is two days of revelatory teachings on the Resurrection Himself: Jesus! He is the resurrection and the life!

They have been doing this for 12 years at the time of the video and here he claims they raised their 22nd person six months earlier in Houston. But first he tells the audience at Katy's church that they raised the dead "in hospitals" and "in the womb". Sure, bud.

Oh yeah, this guy that "especially Katy" wanted to show up & talk to the church started a group called the Dead Raising Team. He runs his Mission trips out of Lacey, WA.
