writing is hard because you flip back and forth between "I am a literal fraud and this book will never be completed" and "I am a literary sex goddess and this book will earn me the affections of seven comely lasses" or maybe that's just me idk

I was complaining to my wife that the date on my computer was wrong by a full week. I said "it says it's Jan 30th" and they go, "It IS Jan 30th" and I was like, "Whaaaat? I thought it was Feb 6th?" I'M the one who is a whole week off.

A member of our trans community killed themselves due to the current legislation being passed around the US Government. I am angry and I won't be passive in my identity in my local area anymore. Figured I'd post this here if anyone was interested! As much as I love Bluesky I also worry that it will fall into the hands of corporate greed. Plus the small web is fun! #smallweb #indieweb #decentralizedmedia #yesterweb #oldinternet

With the new age of social media and the internet as a whole, I really keep finding myself nostalgic for how the Old Web was. Thankfully there are still a TON of decentralized social media/networks, just a little harder to find on the search engines (Google, Bing etc.) I'm sure there's already a few posts contributing to spreading the Indie Web around but I didn't look hard enough for them and I'll link any Pifo posts with the same concept to the bottom of this. You know what?
Poop at work. On the clock. It's not time theft it's a natural bodily function and if they have a problem with it, poop your pants in protest.

Repost from my pillowfort UGH Also *skills

Skills tests at work mean that I infact as far as corporate is concerned dont know how to do my job!

tbf one of the questions has a wrong answer that I know is wrong. And im not the only one struggling with them. Also apparently the numeric 200 isn't a correct answer and I should put $200 or $200 and over or over $200- when asking about the limit of a price point

So I get to retake the majority of these skill tests again.

Banner image with city scapes blurred in the background. The right side of the screen has a hand reaching up to a star in the sky. The left side of the screen has a pink phone opened to a music player, there are 3 envelopes that are yellow, blue and pink overlapped the phone. The middle of the image reads Days of Joan in two different fonts.
