I hope Etihad understand flying planes better than they understand irony. Nice to see the Streisand Effect alive and well too. I hadn’t made any direct link between a state airline and the offences levelled at City, but now they’ve done it for us, it might make us wonder. *insert LeTissier image*
"Etihad is deeply concerned by the way this natter has been communicated publicly. The lack of clarity and transparency, together with the selective disclosure of information, has created damaging implications for Etihad despite the airline not being named in the published decision. The Premier League must take responsibility for the consequences of the way in which these findings have been presented.” The text “lack of clarity and transparency, together with the selective disclosure of information” is highlighted.

Nice to see a nod for Giri/Haji, loved that. Had a bit of everything and one spectacular, unexpected scene in particular. Looking forward to Dept Q S2 too.

Line in fifth paragraph: “THERE’S AN ARGUMENT TO BE MADE that he’s proven to be ONE OF the worst signings in the club’s history.” Not an argument I’d make, but if you said “recent history”, I’d hear you out. Headline: “Mathys Tel is Tottenham Hotspur's worst ever signing” Utter nonsense. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Two of the shots involving a lift were particularly amusing. The books are better than the show IMHO. Something particularly satisfying about the way the fight scenes are described, and the routine elements of his life. Anyway, going to start Neagley shortly, hoping for more of the same…

There’s some iffy logic in that article. The fee for Vuskovic is either fine or not. It’s independent of what we paid for Van Hecke. If we’d Levy’d everyone it would have been “good fee but they needed them in for preseason, not deadline day”. Little mention of how they fit RDZ’s system either.

Of course, all these nutjobs thinking Williams was robbed or even just unlucky were completely relaxed about Maradona in ‘86. It’s cheating, plain and simple*, and the thing that VAR should be used most for. * Even if unintentional, to then claim you didn’t know and celebrate the goal is cheating.

Feels like ab approach chosen for this window to speed up the settling of a heavily changed squad, but hopefully not a long term strategy. Easier to accommodate the acclimatisation of one or two players from outside the PL when the squad’s more stable.

I’ve only got as far as remembering that if you’re heading south on the Northern Line and want to change to the Victoria Line at Euston, take the Bank branch - it’s just a hop across the platform and none of the nonsense. That’s taken me five years. In another five I might work out the reverse.

Sub editors usually write the headlines, so good chance it’s not his headline. The article kinda says “Spurs make lots of football income from their stadium and London prices, Villa don’t.” Unfortunately it finishes with a bloody Agbonlahor quote.

Patrick’s got a nice line in suited military-adjacent (mostly) bad guys going these days, I’ve seen him in enough things recently. I’d like to know how much of the slight menace he usually carries is his just down to knowing he was the T-1000 😄

Furlong’s the harder one to reconcile because I wasn’t sure I’d seen him in anything post T2. Just checked IMDB and I did see American History X, 28 years ago. His CV since then? Well, I didn’t realise IMDB ratings went down into the threes and twos. 😬

Was gonna say, location stopped no-one 113 years ago, nor 23 years ago, and the spineless administrators of our game wouldn’t block a move now. I’m up for NUFC moving to Barking or Thamesmead as a “quick fix” for their current inability to compete. Thameside Toon would obviously walk the league. 😂

And apparently* a note _in the credits at the end_ to say the kid went back onto his meds because he performed better in his studies using them, while the show left it as if the kid had stayed off them and all was well. I mean, who watches TV credits?

There was another one where my dad dived across a table to stop a very young me from hitting the big CRT TV screen with a hammer while it was on. He was recovering from broken ribs and a collapsed lung at the time, so this was suboptimal. I think the 70s were just a more dangerous time full stop.

Introduce yourself as what almost killed you. “Hi, I’m a three year old toddling through the kitchen with a cabinet full of crockery falling off the wall a few seconds after I’d walked right where it would land.” I thought I’d had a very safe life until I recalled tales my parents shared 😅
