When we volunteered at work to be deputy floor fire warden (something like that), we initially had to know the rules about fire (drills). Where to go, where to wait for instructions, etc. Then they started adding different drills. Had to start worrying about active shooters.

No, but they do differentiate between e-readers and tablets. They still think that certain books are absorbed better on paper. But otherwise e-readers are much better than tablets for reading before bed.

But at least sweet potatoes are sweet. I make mashed sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving without adding sugar. Mom complained that the mashed sweet potatoes at rehab were too sweet. Someone else said they were perfect. And yes, someone at Thanksgiving asked about marshmallows.

They’ve had a whole series of covers like that, so I know to look. I like them.

I had no idea. I did know that family who remained there weren’t as likely to survive.

One of my cousins recently told another cousin that when our grandmother and her sister came to this country (to join their brother), they left behind three sisters. All three perished in the Holocaust. My cousin talked to the sister, whom I knew as a child.
