This was a gripe I had about the Ivory app on Mastodon, and they fixed it after a few versions. Now you see what you’re describing alongside text entry

The alt text entry UI could be better in the bsky app. Mastodon clients have had this issue too: you can’t see the image you intend to describe while describing it
