I think it's that plus, kids used to need to depend upon their parents for financial support for things like college and down payments for a home and baby sitting, but now the kids are expected to take out student loans, no one can AFFORD a mortgage, and they put their kids in day care.

The sad thing is that the restaurant folded very quickly after the owner switched vendors to someone cheaper and lower quality, and the new meat supplier sold him bad bacon* and the cook quit. *I didn't know it was possible for bacon to be so bad that I would spit it out.

I had the most perfect popper at a diner that a friend of a friend launched. The cook they hired made "rattlesnake bites" and it was a jalapeno stuffed with cheddar and cream cheese and bacon, then coated in batter, dipped in corn flakes and deep fried. I have not been able to duplicate it at home.

Because then you'd have to pay people to be present to monitor it, and no one wants to pay an extra dollar or two on their monthly water bill to cover the annual salaries of an additional couple of water operators. That's the actual answer. My husband is the sole operator for a small Chicago suburb.

I love our independent mechanic because of tires, specifically. We have a car that has to have the run flats (ugh!) and we have price checked, and he's $7 more for a full set than our cheapest option (Costco). It's worth the extra for the convenience of doing all our car stuff at one shop.

I've been following a woman on Youtube who is growing a dress. She's on week 67 and still hasn't finished spinning her first (600 sq feet!) crop of flax. It takes a LOT of flax to have enough fiber to spin into linen to weave into a dress.

I only understood because it's something I would do (and have done, and continue to do.) I point out undercharges, too. Like some restaurants don't offer free refills on beverages, but sometimes the waitstaff forgets. I'm sure they "forget". I point it out and put the extra in a tip usually.

I still struggle if A Process gets interrupted (usually this is caused by kids or dog Needing Something), but yeah, I have gone to do a morning just Doing The Things and realize it's past time to eat a pre-prepped lunch. (Vyvanse is a dual purpose med for me.)

You may need to try a few different medications. I lucked out and any generic for Vyvanse works for me at a very low dose (20mg) but my son has tried 4 different medications and still needs a post school booster dose.
