This is wild. I don't think we've ever had a bill over $250 for the month. (Hard to tell because we are on budget billing, so we pay the same amount all year.) But we also only use the AC and large appliances at night when rates are low, and then use fans throughout the day to stay cool.

I still can't take my 12 yo to the library unless I plan to have my hands literally on her body the whole time. It's the opposite of restful. The last time we went in, she tried to test how hard it would be to knock the bookshelves over. Thankfully, she wasn't strong enough to accomplish her task.

Is there a legal reason they have to make her overstay *comfortable*? I had my gall bladder removed and when I woke up in recovery, while I was still loopy from the anesthesia, they had me go use the toilet. When I came out of the bathroom they had replaced my bed with a chair.
