When we told you the *only* reason "progressives" insist on Graham Cracker over twice-elected Democratic Governor Janet Mill is his unbridled hatred of Jews, we were not kidding. Here he is with a literal nazi praising just that

Wolf had found the evening paper in Old Fox's desk. He took it to his room & slowly read the names aloud, into the silence. Luis Gustavo Núñez Cáceres, Geraldo Lunas Campos, Victor Manuel Díaz, Heber Sánchez Domínguez, Renee Nicole Good, Parady La, Alex Jeffrey Pretti, Luis Beltran Yanez-Cruz.
He thought of each soul, earthy & loved as roses, high & holy as falcons, fire stars raken into the breath of night. He imagined each name as a child, their first steps, moving towards smiling faces, outstretched arms of love and care, playing in the street on endless summer afternoons, the sidewalk burning hot, laughing until their bellies hurt, blowing out birthday candles, wishing for the future, the rich unlived life beyond. And then he thought of their murderers, and the dark sky seemed to shatter, falling into cold irretrievable fragments.

The Snowshoe Hare had received a telegram from Dorset in England. He read it inside the warmth of a coffee shop, before joining the crowds again, he read it with tears stinging his eyes, he read it listening to shouts and distant gun shots, he read it with a fierce anger rising inside, he read it whilst his heart ached inside his chest, and then he folded the thin paper into a talisman to keep it safe. And he spoke the words aloud:
"We are with you. England is with you. Europe is with you. History is with you. We are all Minnesotans until every last one of you is safe, until goodness and kindness prevails. – Old Fox."

The Fox of Greenwich Village leapt out of bed that morning and rushed to buy three different newspapers. "Keep the change!" he beamed at the seller, and as he jay-walked across to his usual coffee shop, he whistled a merry tune. Inside was steamy and smoky and very busy with a hum of conversation & breakfast orders. His professor friend from NYU, an elderly badger with waxed whiskers, was sitting by the window and he waved at him and squeezed in opposite. "What a morning! What a morning!" said the Fox. "What a morning, indeed!" said the Professor, "The beacon is lit and it is blazing! It gleams o'er sea and land, my friend, o'er sea and land!"

Old Fox and the Goddess of War were standing at the edge of a barley field up on the hamlet heights. Before them, on the horizon, was the sea, the dark, silvery colour of barrow swords. Above, two buzzards circled. The Goddess of War had a dress of bronze flecked in red. She wore no shoes. What will happen to him, asked Old Fox. What happens to all monsters in the end, said the Goddess.

The Little Girl was in her nightgown, sitting on the wide window seat of her bedroom, looking across the lawn to the silhouettes of the lime trees beyond. The birds were settling & the night air smelt of roses & orange blossom & the Turkish cigarette smoke of her mother & aunt on the terrace below.

The morning of 20th January. Brushing the snow from his fur, the Fox of Greenwich Village sat down by the far window in the coffee shop. He ordered cinnamon toast and a pot of coffee. He was meeting a friend, an old badger, a professor at NYU, who arrived not long afterwards, ordering more coffee and a slice of chocolate layer cake.
"Well," said the Fox, at last, "here we are, Prof. The day itself."
"I often think of Hazlitt's words," said the Badger, carefully pouring cream, "'Egotism is an infirmity that perpetually grows upon a man, till at last he cannot bear to think of anything but himself, nor even to suppose that others do.' That sort of poisonous fire never lasts, it may flame and rain sparks for a while, suck in the air around it, but it never lasts for very long in the great scheme of things. And God grinds exceptionally fine, exceptionally fine."
With that, the badger finished his cake, and lit his pipe. And together they watched the snow falling like feathers, a strange heavenly balm quietening the city's brawling roar.

Five-and-twenty to four. A train creaked into the Halt. One passenger slowly alighted, a small weasel, singed ears, burnt paws bandaged, fur still white with ash. Old Fox was there to meet him, taking his single battered suitcase, helping with the step. My home, said the Weasel, my home.
