let me show you my Pokeymans #AnimalCrossing #Nintendo #GameCube #GCN
A screenshot of a Human Villager's house in Animal Crossing. The house is in its third tier, after receiving two upgrades from Tom Nook. The main room is six units by six units long and wide, and the stairs leading to the newly-added basement are visible at the bottom of the image.

The boy, Human Villager is visible facing the North side of the room and his back is to the viewer. He is wearing the MVP Shirt and is standing on a Citrus Carpet. An umbrella is visible in the lower-left corner of the room. There is a CD Player on top of a Blue Table on the right side of the room, and a Tape Deck on top of an Orange Box below it. In the north part of the room, there is a Regal Armoire in the upper leftmost part of the room, and a Regal Dresser right next to it. Below them is a glass coffee table, and to the dresser's right is a Classic Bed. The wallpaper is a Cabana Wall and has its design of brown, whitish-yellow, and green H-shaped patterns on it.

Happy #InternationalCatDay! And it fell on a #Caturday this year, no less! Here's a picture of Flurrie, my most successful cat rescue to date. If she's still with her adoptive rescuer, she'd be 15 years old this month! #MSPCA #Boston #cats #CatsOfBlueSky #AnimalRescue #pets
A picture of white-and-gray mask-and-mantle-pattern rescue kitten Flurrie. This photo was taken in October 2011 when Flurrie was roughly two months old.

She is gently staring up at me while calmly lying in my lap curled up after her flea bath, three days before my Mom and I surrendered her to the MSPCA, a local animal welfare advocacy group.

Oblivious. #PaperMario #TTYD #ThousandYearDoor #Switch #SuperMario #Mario #Nintendo #NintendoSwitch
An image screenshot of Paper Mario and his comrade Ms. Mowz in the office of Captain Cortez in Cortez's ship.

The two are surrounded by a massive haul of loot Cortez plundered in his lifetime, amassed among the furniture in his quarters.

Ms. Mowz is using her ability to sniff out treasure and replies to Mario, "Mmmm… I don't think there's anything near here, sweetie." Hence the caption in the body of this post, "Oblivious".

Serendipity. #Pokemon #Emerald #Pokémon #ShinyHunting #Shiny #Bot #YouTube #Nintendo
A screenshot of the Pokémon Emerald Shiny Hunting Bot on YouTube, programmed and managed by user 40 Cakes.

The screenshot shows YouTube user LeatherKittenBoots ( @LKBoots15 ) asking the Nightbot to attempt making an anagram of the word "Eevee". The word comes back as "Eevee", which prompts an elated LKBoots15 to say just, "Yes."

This is NeKotatsu. She is part #cat, part furniture. An English-language rendition of her name would be CaTable or something like that. This is a bad #drawing. I am severely out of practice. Many #artists are better than I am. But at least this isn't made by AI. One day I'll re-learn to draw good.
A crude sketch made by LeatherKittenBoots of a fantastical creature called the "NeKotatsu." She's part cat; and part kotatsu, a type of traditional Japanese furniture. An English-language rendition of her name would be "CaTable" or something like that.

On her back—the table part of her—there is a platter with a trio of Japanese onigiri (rice balls) on it.

This is a bad #drawing. I will improve over time.

Rescue kitten Flurrie standing on all four legs, cutely looking out of the animal carrier before she was taken to the surrenders reception area at MSPCA-Angell animal welfare shelter in Jamaica Plain, Boston, MA. A plastic, portable litterbox was under her in case she needed to use the restroom on the way to the animal shelter. Before we left home she unknowingly stood over it as I took this photograph.

I grabbed her like #CatManChris does, kissed her on her forehead after her flea bath, and saved her. Her name is Flurrie. She loves wet cat food and clean drinking water. #cat #kitten #animal #rescue #AnimalRescue #CatsOfBluesky #MSPCA

#Google helped me learn the proper use of #adjectives in poetry vs. in prose. #writing #poetry #prose
Screenshot of a Google search-results AI summary:

Generally, prose tends to utilize more adjectives than poetry to convey detailed descriptions and paint vivid pictures for the reader. Poetry, on the other hand, often favors conciseness and relies on carefully selected words and figurative language to evoke emotions and imagery in a more distilled form.

Here's why:
Prose aims for detailed observation and direct description. In prose writing, such as novels and essays, adjectives are crucial for building immersive worlds, describing characters, and setting scenes with precision. A prose writer might use several adjectives to describe a single noun to create a comprehensive image.
Poetry prioritizes emotional impact and suggestive imagery.Part two of the description:

Poets often rely on strong nouns and verbs, along with figurative language, to convey meaning and evoke emotions in a more condensed way. Overusing adjectives in poetry can disrupt the rhythm and flow and potentially dilute the emotional impact.

For instance, consider these two descriptions of tears:

Prose: "Her bitter, copious tears flowed like salty rivers down her cheeks".

Poetry: "I cried bitter tears".

The prose description uses several adjectives to provide a detailed and almost sensory experience of the tears. Conversely, the poetry example uses a single, well-chosen adjective to convey the emotional impact of the tears without providing excessive detail.Part three of the description:

This is a generalization. Both prose and poetry can effectively use adjectives for various purposes. Some poetic styles may use them more than others. The key is to use them intentionally and skillfully, rather than simply counting them. Strong, vivid adjectives, used sparingly and effectively, can enhance any form of writing. However, overusing them can lead to cluttered or less impactful prose or poetry, as Fictionary notes and Fiction Yogi highlights highlight.
