as someone who is also vehemently anti-AI and would never touch it for writing (or anything else), this is still not the best take. other editors have shared Pangram’s frequent inaccuracy &false positives. why would you feed any story without consent or knowledge of the mag or author into a machine?

i also think of this story a lot in the “ai could never” writing discourse. what machine could mash up a love of hey Arnold, learning from a decades-long friendship with a found materials sculptor, and family/hometown history of cancer and make it a story? my fucked up brain is all I need, thanks
