love it when the relatively sedate superheroes and villains book I enjoyed has a sequel that predominantly features DV, stalking, and monsterfucking.

the only reason I have an epic account is because they give away games every thursday. I'm content not giving them any money or any more time.

I have no idea how to fix standard given the influx of UB and especially short release windows, but I'm pretty sure brawl doesn't need that much attention.

really dislike the amount of clear AI slop that populates the new books and audiobooks on hoopla. I wish there were better quality controls on their pipeline.

once again, I'm glad we didn't decide to go to dragoncon. the logistical issues that were there in the first few years have never gotten appreciably better over time. move the con schedule wise, move the con hotel wise, and mail the damn badges. plus the people I wanted to see pulled out late.

I'm still very bad at chess, for the record. then again, I'm also very bad at speaking spanish so it's on brand for their courses.

an image from Duolingo stating that I completed their chess course. the owl mascot is also featured in the image.

not targeted at anyone in particular, but content creators who start making content about content creation instead of what they were originally passionate about are the same as comedians who stop telling jokes about their original premises and start telling jokes about airline food and hotels.

dan decarlo. everyone else at archie is either a counterpoint (samm schwartz, bob bolling, harry lucey) or an attempt to mimic the style that doesn't work nearly as well.

note: meeting someone when you're 31 and they're 13, then waiting six years to date them and claiming that you always loved them but they were just a kid is... something.

notes from someone in ed: 1. the final is clearly harder than the midterm, independent of cheating. 2. real life is an open book test, so I prefer giving open book when possible. 3. having take-home exams at the start then shifting to in-person only is ableist. 4. of course they're cheating. duh.
