Just found out there are vitamin D3 supplements extracted from lichens. They naturally produce it when exposed to sunlight, very neat! :)

Our kitty has a beautiful marking on her head that looks like it’s been painted with a calligraphy brush, so I’ve imagined her like Amaterasu ever since she came into our lives :)

Just found out today is the 25th anniversary of Animal Crossing! Dōbutsu no Mori (Animal Forest) for the N64 was released exclusively in Japan in 2001 :)

I love that I have so many of my own nature photo as refs and inspiration for art that I’m making. This way I can avoid all the fake ugly slop that’s invading the net. Good life hack 🌿

I pressed some ginkgo leaves I found during a walk a few weeks ago. They’re so pretty! 🍂

Three pressed ginkgo leaves of various sizes are laid out on a sketchbook. They are fan-shaped with veins radiating out into the leaf blade and have that beautiful autumn deep saffron yellow color.

These drawings are amazing. Miyamoto quote from an interview: “I was a rather analog person and did not know anything about technology. So, I learned how the screen was displayed from an in-house engineer. That's how I started doing pixel art.”

Some of Miyamoto's early drawings of Mario for the original Donkey Kong. There are color sprites of Mario walking, Paulina and Donkey Kong, and various sketches.

Needed a simple compact MP3 player and remembered I still have this Samsung YP-U2. Plug-in USB to charge, almost 20 years old and still works! Love the little loading screen :D

The Samsung YP-U2 digital audio player, a compact white UBD drive with a 1" 128x64 negative (white font, black background) LCD screen saying “SYSTEM-LOADING 40%” and a progress bar of 5 squares with 2 filled in. Plugged-in earbud headphones are light wood with burgundy ear tips and a paradord cable.

The ACNH update is coming at the right time, was just thinking about starting it up again. Being able to create slumber islands fits my play style more since I don’t want to terraform my own island much. And I love Kapp’n, decorating and anything Splatoon, so those additions are very welcome :)
