Wtf do the techies put in politicians drinks Every other business is legally accountable for what they put out - speech, products, services- but somehow tech giants no, don’t be unreasonable

i agree with the key point here and will add to it that there IS a reward, it’s knowing you did one right thing instead of walking around plagued by the nameless shame that afflicts all men who are determined to live the most frictionless lives possible

I literally don’t know a single woman who hasn’t been raped, stalked, groped, harassed, or sexually violated in some way at some point in their life. If you choose to doubt and dox survivors, just know every woman in your life is disgusted by you.

The inability to clearly state anything much is a problem that both Starmer and Burnham share Albeit B gives more of sense that he’s saying something Good vibes and the promise of sunlit uplands *after* the next election seems to be what Labour has decided to run - or rather bide time - with

It's all just a fucking game to them. Sport. Beyond infuriating. How is *this* the thing Burnham decided to speak up on this month?

‘This is playing into his hands’/‘this will allow him to play the martyr card’/‘this will help with his fundraising’ are all really bad takes. Criminals should be arrested and charged with crimes.

Your guess is wrong. You’ve chosen to speak for people you don’t know on a subject you’re not even vaguely familiar with, around an issue you clearly don’t understand

Lizzie F @lizziewf.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
Also, for someone who doesn’t live here your tone is telling …‘ claim to’ live in NF Changing council doesn’t change the geography You’re either Eastleigh or North Hants and ignorant of why they want to secure the narrow strip of the waterside opposite the terminal and up from the refinery

‘These things’ are not what they’re being presented as either This person is completely misrepresenting the opposition to rolling a series of villages unconnected to Southampton into Southampton by fantasising that a working class area of the forest is fostering some kind of snobbery about it
000
Lizzie F @lizziewf.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
I live in a village on the waterside. The area is not connected to Southampton in anyway. It’s a rural area. You’re aware Fawley is in the NF? Southampton is a city with completely different needs ‘people didn’t like..’ is a gross misrepresentation demonstrating a total lack of understanding

Lizzie F @lizziewf.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
Those people ‘on the outskirts of Southampton’ are & always have been in Hants CC, are in New Forest DC, most of are within or adjoin the NF and are separated from Southampton by one of the UKs busiest shipping channels They are rural communities, not part of Southampton or even near its skirts

But I do despair of it I don’t see any efforts being made here. Leaders should speak up when fascist thugs are intimidating us in our streets I don’t see how looking the other way for fear of despair helps Pollyanna is not how to face down fascism

Not handling riots is not an option for even a minimally functioning govt I’ll never forget his island of strangers speech or ‘incalculable damage’ done by immigration report remarks He’s a barrister. He knows the power of words. He knew exactly what he was doing. He didn’t have to do it.

Couldn’t agree more That’s why I’m so very disappointed, it’s the simplest of principles, yet they’re unwilling to say so. I don’t know why though They need to say it. Simply. Explicitly. Regularly.

Not sure why a Reform bot would be disappointed in Labour not fighting it? Everyday interactions are peppered with casual fascist ideology from all classes/ education levels Fascism *is* messaging. Fighting shld be govt’s top priority, not a quiet side project The dam is broken The flood is here

Haven’t heard anythig from Burnham suggesting he has any more spine than Starmer when it comes to facing the facism creeping through our society What a profound disappointment Labour has proven to be The largest majority and what does it do? Nothing Nandy is the embodiment of 2020s Labour

It’s been two years, you’d hope that by now, Labour would realise that they are a government, not an opposition, and their criminal justice policy needs to be about, you know, reducing crime, not merely making positional announcements that have no meaning.

Alex why does our govt sit mute?? This is The Fight. It’s here. Now. Casual cruelty pervading everyday interactions is getting overwhelming. A casual good morning to neighbours now peppered with mentions of boat people and Turkish barbers The largest majority mumbles about legitimate concerns
