Pals, do you recall bees swarming at our previous house, in the crook of the arm of the Virgin Mary? The noise was akin to lawnmowers on a Sunday in the UK suburbs. The bees arrived, swarmed and left. Four hours and the entire performance was over. I longed for honey to pour from the Madonna’s foot.

It has been criminally underreported but Kelsey Pfendler has just rowed solo across the Pacific Ocean from the US coast to Hawaii in record time. A 2,400-mile unsupported journey in 43 days, 17 hours, and 55 minutes. Notably beating the Men’s record by 9 whole days.

I really don’t understand their reasoning. Here in France commercial operations with over 1500m2 of car park have to cover at least 50% with solar installations. This produces electricity and protects users and cars. Most large supermarkets also have EV charging. Makes sense, non?

What’s particularly astonishing is that it is JUNE. It’s not unusual for us to go over 40 briefly in August, but this, already? I'm in the south of France and the tomatoes and apples in my garden are cooking on the plants/trees.

Iran v. New Zealand ended around 8pm in Los Angeles. At 10:07pm, Iran players were on a bus bound for the airport, where they'd fly back to Tijuana. World Cup organizers wouldn't let them stay and recover. This is completely unacceptable. FIFA should not be a political wing of the US Government.

Many chargers were not working or very slow and needed at least eight different apps. I know we’re spoilt by having multitudinous chargers in France, but I hope Spain will catch up fast if there is real demand.
