Yay, another good one for me! Not sure why, just attracted to modern dramas after Against the Current. First, lawyers in Rising Justice and now doctors in Small Town Remedy. Mostly because, to be blunt, I needed something that was high quality and these dramas […] [Original post on hachyderm.io]

I feel like I've been lied to by the industry making non-stick pans. The amount of RM200+ pans I bought, thinking that if I bought a more expensive non-stick pan it would be non-stick longer...when I could've bought a beautiful steel pan for the same amount and […] [Original post on hachyderm.io]

Gawd I relate to this so much. I am part of a Chinese drama forum and the amount of people giving negative reviews to Chinese dramas with ambiguous, non-happily-ever-after endings drives me wild. I am reading a 200-year-old collection of short stories from […] [Original post on hachyderm.io]

Now that Liu Xueyi has levelled up and has genuinely "blown up" in China, that means he would choose more serious roles from now on. Actors often start out in idol dramas (they are the training wheels), and then around their 30s are expected to transition to […] [Original post on hachyderm.io]

Against the Current ends its run. What a gorgeous Cdrama. It has given a boost to the actor, Liu Xueyi, whom many recognize as a good actor who doesn't “play traffic games” to succeed. The drama’s success also sends hope to those who have been wishing for the […] [Original post on hachyderm.io]

I'm glad that Cory Doctorow has a more balanced view about AI usage. I was bracing myself for "AI usage doesn't have any value," but in the first chapter itself, he highlights the proper way of using AI for writers and the not-so-good way, A.K.A. the centaur way […] [Original post on hachyderm.io]
