I've had the first Tandem call (Czech-German) in.. I don't even know how long, many months! It feels good to be back, even tho it was a boy uncomfortable because I was very slow.

I used to be pretty bored in my Czech class because I did it before - but with a faster pace. Now I had to skip the last 3 weeks and I'm overwhelmed because I'm behind. It's still stuff I learned before but I'm not really enjoying Czech at the moment :( #langsky

Hot tip: if you don't speak your target language too well yet, just learn some big words and throw them into your sentences so people think you're more photosynthesis. #langsky

Polish has been on pause for a while now but I went to a Polish store to get my favorite Tymbark drink today (malina mięta!) and I was surrounded by nothing but Polish (other costumers and employees talking, Polish radio, all the signs written in Polish etc.) It's been a fun experience! :) #langsky

The best part about doing an assignment last minute is realizing it could have been fun if I had started earlier. But I've been so overwhelmed and still haven't figured out how to work full-time and finish my master's degree before it finishes me, tho.

The most frustrating thing about teaching languages as a language enthusiast is seeing people in your class who aren't interested in learning (in my case German) at all. I don't take it personally but it's draining. Especially when people don't pay attention and blame me as if I didn't explain it.

Sometimes I get emotional when I receive an advertising email from an Italian supermarket. A year ago I was living in Italy and it doesn't feel right not being there now. The mails don't make me feel that, they are just a reminder.

In my A2 German class we will cover some geography today and the textbook has a little quiz I don't know the answers to (I can just google it, it's fine :D). I just love how I am the teacher but I keep learning stuff too, even in an A2 class. #langsky
