What’s the point of online maps and travel planners if the companies behind them aren’t going to ensure the information is accurate?! Once again London bus users getting no information that a bus stop is closed (or why) and what random diversion we have to take. If it wasn’t so hot I’d have walked!

I’m more excited than I should be that a new Lidl is opening up the road. Still mourning the loss of M&S but I guess this replacement has it benefits - daily visits to the middle of Lidl!

How are we already 70 days into 2025?! Oh well, we can’t control the passing of time but we can choose how we use our time. My photo a a day project is going strong; on days when I have no other reason to go out it gives me a reason to get out of the flat. lizetta.myportfolio.com/aphotoaday2025

I remember being able to go into most pubs to see a different craft beer on tap even if they only had the one. These days far too many pubs just sell Brixton and Beavertown. They’ve become as generic as the regular selection of lagers. I guess this is what happens when Heinenken buys up everything.

I received my Conquer 2024 virtual challenge medal for hitting my walking goal in 2024. First time I’ve received a medal for anything in a very long time - it’s beautiful but very heavy. And now I’m a month in to this year’s challenge, and am slightly ahead of target.

Heading back to London after a lovely little jaunt to Hastings for Adam’s birthday. Last year we went to Barcelona. The year before that, Lisbon. But he wanted to go to Hastings so that’s where we went. Yesterday was cold and wet and today was windy, but I do love an off season trip to the seaside.
