Lin/Tenzin shippers - it was my OTP of all OTPs, but my GOD the other shippers were toxic. They broke up! They were not a good match! Yes, Tenzin and Pema have a big age gap, that doesn't mean PEMA is the problematic one!

OTOH I unfollowed a lot of AtLA people because they hated LoK (and at least two got really into harassing Kelly Marie Tran on social media as a hobby, so no loss there) and then unfollowed a lot of LoK people because of the Pema-bashing, soooooo maybe I just need to be a fandom of one.

No, the recent hardcover book on Voyager goes into some detail about that for the first time - Lien was struggling, but also refusing the help the producers offered. Not clear if it was drugs or mental illness at that stage, but Jeri Taylor made the decision to let her go.

(I understand that Kira's hair for the first three seasons reads NOW as butch, but back in the '90s, every single woman I knew with young children had that cut. They all had big hair in the '80s, and then the '90s hit and they become mothers, and it was pixie crop and gel all day every day.)

Season 4 has my favourite Kira hair of the whole series! It's classic '90s "my baby has grown out of the 'grabbing my hair with sticky hands' stage and now I have a tiny bit of time to think about styling again."
