Same here. I've always said anyway that I play games first, collect second so I'll just emulate the expensive stuff I want to play - I'm not paying these insane prices.

Exactly. And then there are people like me who just want to own and play the game for a reasonable price but know we'll never be able to because of jackasses like this.

Right? It makes zero sense to me for video games. And how can we even grade sealed games? One is a 9.8 and one is an 85 based on what?! You assume everything inside is mint but you have no way of knowing. You're just grading some shrinkwrap. It's bizarre.

Max Granger @maxgranger.info · 08/10/2026

This pisses me off so much. Miss me with the 'collector' bullshit, this is just greed

Some prick with four sealed copies of Rule of Rose for PS2, 3 of them entombed in plastic cases and graded.

🚨 Latest from the border wall blockade: tree sit is still up, one land defender is locked down to machinery, Border Patrol has wrapped a Mylar blanket around them and is running the truck and pumping the blanket full of exhaust to try to gas them out, potentially killing them.

I need to have a word with my wife and tell her never to bring chocolate spread home with shopping again because I absolutely cannot be trusted to not devour it. On an unrelated note, have you ever taken a Jacob's cracker and put chocolate spread on it? It's actually amazing.

23. Pumpkin Jack Solid throwback 3D platformer, think MediEvil or Jak & Daxter with a Halloween-themed skin. It's only 5-7 hours long and still gets repetitive during that time. Fun enough for what it was, I'd still recommend it if you can get it on a deep sale.

it was smart of jacob geller to only post about what he did to his 50k followers on here instead of to his 1.5 million youtube subs or on his patreon. that way fewer people know about it and he limits the financial hit

22. Resident Evil Requiem The Grace sections are S tier Resident Evil and I wish they'd leaned into it way harder but I can't deny I had fun during the OTT Leon sections, even if they gave me tonal whiplash in the second half of the game. A fun, ridiculous time!

New from me: I did a deep dive and spoke to Pokemon fan game creators for @fansplaining.bsky.social. This was so hard to source, but I am humbled by the sources who took the time to talk to me about this super massive, and relatively under-examined, fandom. fansplaining.com/pokemon-fang...

This is bad journalism. It cannot be overstated how much harm has been caused by lumping "LLM driven toxic bullshit" in with the traditional understanding of AI as a computer science discipline. The tools and techniques described in this article have nothing to do with LLM-based systems.

I might try something like this one day. I've always wanted to get into modding but have no idea how or where to start, this seems like it would a good starter project.

Did you see Story's face after Contreras hit that homer in the Yankee game? Face like thunder. He looked pissed off, it was so weird. His game can be so good but something about his person I just don't like.

I've seen people selling these cool custom DS mods that use a broken bottom screen with a light bar to essentially make a little GBA and I just think they're so neat

Right? It's one of the most prevalent phobias in the world, I don't think it's a big ask for games to account for that.
