Our 2023 conference brought together over 160 seks workers, allies, and orgs from BC & beyond to collaborate on sex worker rights and wellness. The overarching finding was: Listen to the needs of BIPOC, disabled, migrant, queer, trans, gender diverse, intersex & Two Spirit seks workers.

The 2019 National Inquiry into Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls underscores the urgent need for safety resources to protect Indigenous seks workers & queer, trans & gender diverse communities. Bill S-228 aims to criminalize coercive sterilization, supporting bodily autonomy.

📣 The 2026 BC budget recommendations by the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services include some positive aspects, but notably lack support for seks workers. Released on August 12th, the report follows public consultations on budget priorities. Here are our thoughts.
