Finally done! 🎉 It’s been a long journey. The main goal of this project was to level up my C++ skills and get a solid grasp of game architecture. > You can play the web demo and check out the full source code here: > (github.com/livemehere/t...) Have fun! 🕹️ #gamedev #cpp #indiedev #raylib

My previous updates were mostly about getting used to @raylib, but I quickly hit a wall with scalability. So, I looked into common gamedev architectures and discovered the ECS pattern. I adopted it right away and wow... the scalability is absolutely insane. #gamedev #cpp #raylib #ECS #indiedev

Honestly, rendering isn't the issue. I spent a lot of time with Canvas and WebGL in web dev, so the concepts feel familiar unless I’m diving into raw OpenGL. The real challenge is the C++ syntax and structuring the game architecture from scratch. Also, finding the right APIs in raylib.

Web dev diving into the native world. 💻 After 6 months of C++. I’m finally building a Vampire Survivors-like game using @raylib.bsky.social. No AI agents, no autocomplete. Just classic, manual coding. Far more rewarding than just chasing fast results. #cpp #gamedev #raylib #indiedev #buildinpublic

I have 5 YOE, but my learning curve absolutely exploded this past year. AI has become my 1-on-1 private tutor. For devs who love digging deep until there are zero "black boxes" left, this is the golden era. Am I the only one spending my personal time using AI just to learn?

It’s a bit sad that everyone is only focusing on AI for "productivity & creation." In basketball, practice and games are separate. But right now, it feels like people are only using AI to play the game (work), and ignoring the practice (learning). 🏀🧠

Great question! Grab focuses purely on being the "perfect capture tool." It records losslessly (WAV/FLAC at 48kHz). For mixing and mastering, I leave that to the heavy lifters like Audition. My biggest tip for a polished sound is simply starting with a pristine, uncompressed source.

So I built Grab 🎧. It’s a tiny, minimalist macOS menu bar app that captures system audio losslessly with a simple shortcut. My sibling, who works in the music industry, tried it out and said it’s surprisingly perfect for sampling! Music producers and DJs, you might love this. 🎹

Ever struggled to find the perfect sound effect or BGM for video editing, web dev, or gaming projects? (For personal use, of course!). Finding the right assets was always a headache for me. Then it hit me : "Why not just record directly?"💡 #buildinpublic #macOS #SwiftUI #MusicProduction #IndieDev
