Last night, ~2 dozen folks gathered for our 2nd annual bed-warmer work party! In just 1 hour, we turned 320 lbs of feed corn & new socks into 179 microwaveable bed warmers to keep our unsheltered neighbors warm this winter. It was such a great mix of new and familiar faces! 🧦 #Kirkland

It’s tonight! Our work party to assemble microwaveable bed warmers is happening from 6-8pm at Chainline at Kirkland Urban. Jennie completely cleared out the Bothell Pet & Feed Supply Store for 320 lbs of whole feed corn, got 200 pairs of socks, and rounded up all the tools. See you there! #Kirkland

Six local organizations serving our unsheltered neighbors have asked for 165 microwaveable bed warmers this season—over 100 more than last year! It's all hands on deck for Liveable Kirkland's work party on Mon, Sept 21 (6-8pm) at Chainline at Kirkland Urban to help assemble them. #Kirkland

Huge shoutout to the 12 incredible volunteers who turned out yesterday for our Adopt-a-Road cleanup in North Juanita! Despite the soggy weather, four teams powered through both sides of 100th Ave NE. We even tackled a bonus section that needed some extra love. #Kirkland

Great news: The Cross Kirkland Corridor trail is officially open! While the new multi-use path linking to the forthcoming BRT station isn't quite ready yet, the main trail below is clear for travel. How are you planning to enjoy the path this week?

Great time Saturday hearing @nondriver.bsky.social speak about her book _When Driving Is Not An Option_. The audience was engaged, the vibes were positive, and of course, the speaker was fantastic! Special thanks to Kirkland CM Amy Falcone who showed up too!
