My friends and I were just talking about this today -- I have never used "google" as a verb. I always used the word "search." With all the tracking google does, I never understood why people used it.

I think Duck Duck Go search results are much better. Google shows a bunch of garbage at the top, and you have to scroll down a ways to get to actual information. On DDG, the few ads are labeled clearly. Anytime I decided I had to check Google, the search results were no better than I got with DDG.
