Eh.. not really. Cheese is churned to have a specific texture and density after a LOT of work is done and it has to be preserved differently. plus, blue cheese in particular has some "moss" that helps give it taste. texture and taste make them different.

disingenuous and utterly misleading reporting by RPS here: Discord did not suffer any kind of breach this is a completely-unaffiliated-with-Discord service

Gaming chat app Discord has suffered another user data breach, with a suspected 1 million email addresses stolen alongside (potentially many more) user IDs and IP addresses. While Discord was not targeted directly, third party security service Double Counter have reported a "deliberate, multi-stage attack" wherein hackers spent nearly six hours poking around their infrastructure before the vulnerability was closed.

Double Counter essentially acts as a bouncer bot for Discord servers, promising to detect and block unsanctioned alt accounts and prevent hostile 'raids' by large groups of malicious users. While its efficacy in that mission is debated by Discord users, and the service has previously been accused of selling user data for revenue, the fact is that Double Counter can collect and store personal info of the users that visit its 'protected' servers. Info that, now, has been partly or entirely nicked by Internet miscreants.

By Double Counter’s own estimates, around 1 million user email addresses have been affected, with databases of Discord IDs, usernames, IP addresses, and even location info for up to 28 million users also "partly" copied by the hackers. Security breach trackers Have I Been Pwned further report that 275,000 of the pinched emails and usernames have since been posted publicly.

Most of the comments here assume Discord was breached. They were not! At all! It has virtually nothing to do with them! The headline does not help! When people in the comments are told this, they are folding their arms and saying some variant of "ok bootlicker"

just to clear up a little confusion here: Double counter is a third party, non affiliated and non official, bot that was used in only a few discord servers. people used it to verify others to even enter. it's not an official discord bot.

this isn't from discord. it was a third party bot maker that got hacked, who aren't affiliated with discord in the slightest. even crazier, the makers made a website to get data from the people that verified with it to know their IP, names, emails and alternate accounts. which is just.. creepy AF

a certain bot, called double counter, got hacked. it was made by a third party to act as a verification bot. for whatever reason, it tracks Email, name, IP address and more. it's really creepy and crazy.. why anyone trusted a bot like that is beyond me.

it's people that used that user made bot for verification in certain servers that used said bot to verify them. it has no association or affiliation with discord and, even creepier, tracks their IPs on a website the bot maker made to allow you to know their alts to block them. it's crazy

insanely crazy, yeah, but it is how it is. what's worse.. the bot maker even made a website where, at a cost, you can search up data of the person to find alts to ban them. used to stop raids and the like.. so it was extremely fishy. i wouldn't trust a bot like that ever

technically not. this is from a discord bot that people made, not officially made by discord and not official. Double counter was used by people's discords like Asmondgold, according to twitter replies, to verify them. still sucks but yeah.. hopefully the bot gets taken down

sorry for saying it thrice but i felt it necessary to make it absolutely clear: this is not a problem with discord but a third party that made a bot for verification.

technically, this is from a BOT that you can use, not anything else. it's a bot that you can use for this thing, so discord had NOTHING to do with this. it was a bot. a third party, non affiliated, bot.
